My favorite Gold.
I've tried a ton of different silk metallic colors trying to narrow down all of my favorites. This is my favorite Gold. It's not even close. I have bought several rolls, I haven't even kept count I just print stuff until I'm out and then I order more and I print more stuff with it. It's easy. Lots of silk has issues where it needs to be dried more and longer, printed slower, doesn't have as good adhesion. That might be true here, but to a lesser extent than any other silk I have ever used, full stop. This stuff prints more like matte, boring filament that I use to print strong things I intend to paint over later. The difference is I don't have to paint it. The color looks great. It's the most convincing gold/worn or antique gold color I have ever found. It looks nicer than half of the gold spraypaints I've tried. It honestly just looks like metal with some prints from good angles. If you want to make statues out of something, you cannot go wrong with it. It prints as easy as matte PLA, it looks better than a lot of premium silk PLA, and it costs just slightly more than the regular known brands of basic PLA everyone uses. I love coextruded stuff and I love color shifting silks, but this looks just as good or better with a lot of prints for sometimes nearly half the price. I could have a hundred rolls and never get tired of it. It's the only kind I don't even hesitate about to try other brands or compare things with anymore.

Excellent Bronze-Colored Filament, Cooling Is Critical
I consider this filament color (when printed properly) to be more of a slightly antiqued bronze. This is by far the least expensive filament I've found in the bronze family, and I love it. It did take me a few tries to dial things in with this filament. My first few tests turned out dull, but I turned down the heat to 210, increased cooling speed, and printed in thin layers (0.1mm) and I was able to get a very nice metallic sheen. I found rapid cooling was essential for getting the color right-- too slow, and the result is more of a muddy brown than bronze (in the attached picture you can see the left-most tip of the submarine is duller than the rest). Overall I'm *very* happy with the filament, and at $23, it's the best value I've found for a metallic bronze-like filament. Print Experience: I had very little stringing, and bridging with the filament worked very well (rapid cooling helped here as well). My last print with this filament took over 24 hours, so there was ample time for heat creep and other issues, but I did not experience and separation of the coloring agent from the filament medium as described by other reviewers. As an added bonus, this filament seems to be slightly more brittle than others I've used, which allowed model supports to break away cleanly. All other general factors (bed adhesion, layer lamination, spool wind, etc.) have been fine through the entire roll. Print Setup: - Printer: Ender 3 (stock bowden tube/extruder/hot end) - Firmware: Marlin 2.0.6 - Upgraded filament cooling fan (5015 fan) - Slicer: Cura 4.6 Settings: - Hot end temp: 210 - Bed temp: 60 - Linear advance enabled

Very nice color, and prints like butter!
I’ve been 3D printing for about 9 years now and I’ve never tried this brand before but I’m glad I did! I love the muted color. It’s shiny, but not overpowering. It kind of reminds me of an antique bronze since real gold doesn’t really get tarnished. It lays down like a dream! I used it in my Bambu Labs x-1c using the stock setting for generic silk pla. It’s nicely wound and gave me no snags! I’ll be looking to see if they offer other colors too! I can’t find any cons to this filament and I will definitely be back for more!

unique color
I've had no issues with this brand and I was looking for an antique gold color. This did me right. Highly recommend. HIgh quality and solid prints.

Terrible quality
First off, I really like the color and was very excited to print some cool items with it. However; I've printed with several different colors, including metallic, in both PLA and ABS and never had anywhere near as many problems with anything like this. The filament looks the part, but even after several attempts to level, clean the bed, adjust speeds, and temps, this was the best I could get. The layers would separate with little to no effort and wouldn't adhere to the bed. I uploaded a photo of a cross section of final attempted print before changing to a different filament. The photo shows how bad the infill was and how it struggled to even adhere to itself. Mind you this was fresh out of the package in a temperature controlled printing enclosure with proper humidity levels. I had much better results from a dusty old brittle roll of PLA than this straight out of the box. I don't know if I received a bundle from a bad batch that had too much or too little of the needed additives, but I'm extremely dissatisfied with this filament. If this is the general quality of this brand, I will be staying far away from it.

Love the look of finished prints, getting them to finish is the challenge!
I really, really like the look of this filament, one of the most realistic metallic filaments I have used. My issue was dialing in the proper settings to get a detailed print to stick to the print bed, but in the end I succeeded and I'm now very happy with it! I was printing 2 sided pirate coins (each side was identical) with the coin face side down on the print bed. The model had very intricate detailing, when laying down the first layer, it was just little blobs here and there. Subsequent layers put down more small blobs and then more layers were in bridge mode, had to span above the bed to create the relief pattern on the underside of the coin. The top layer was no issue, but getting to that point was the problem! Two things lead me to successful prints. First, precise bed leveling. I have an Aquila X2 with manual bed leveling, works beautifully with everyday PLA+, bed leveling can be so-so and I still get great prints. I discovered that the nozzle has to be precisely close to the bed with this filament, if the nozzle is just a tiny bit too high, the melted filament will not adhere well and get knocked off with next layer, etc. So, best for nozzle to be a bit too close than too high. Second, the hot end and bed temps. For me a first layer hot end temp of 220, then 215 for other layers, bed temp 64 for first layer, 62 for remaining. After finally settling on these settings I was able to lay out 5 coins on the bed at once, one in each corner and one in the middle and they all finally printed successfully! I say finally because I had attempted this layout several times, all failing at one point or the other. One other tip, I use Superslicer, there is an option under the Print Settings, Output Options, to complete one item at a time from a multi-print layout. This option is great when you are having issues dialing in settings. Normally all items will print one layer at a time, and if something goes wrong, you lose all items on the bed, with the "one at a time" output option, items are completed individually, so if something goes wrong on item 5, you still have completed items 1-4! So, now that I have settings dialed in for my printer, I would highly recommend this to others if you are willing to tweak the settings on your printer!

Very nice looking filament.
I got this filament so that I could make some containers for my medications. I would not recomend doing this for any meds you have if you take them with you. Keep the original container and label as well. Since I have multiple bottles of the same just transferred label over.I also did weigh the spool and was significantly less than 1kg. I believe they also included the spool in the weight. Maybe just this spool? Don’t know did request replacement. Will send this back. Too many failed prints Very smooth texture, nice and shiny too. Filament seems very consistent to about 1.73-1.76. Print adhered very well without any tricks. Using standard sticker for bed (not PEI, it’s the other sticker type forget the name). Using with flashforge creator pro 2016 model as well as my pro.

Perfect color for antique gold look.
This gold gave me no issues and the color and shine is amazing. I had no issues printing this filament on my Neptune X at 50mms using a .6 nozzle at 210 degrees. There was no stringing and the supports came off easily and cleanly. I think this color would also work well for a captain Enoch mask.
