Brilliant and beautiful
I've always loved these water globes for their beauty and also for the fact that I don't have to worry about watering my plants every day, even in dry Colorado, but this is definitely an improvement. Without the plastic tubes, the globe stems filled with dirt and were often difficult to refill. Varying diameters of the stems made some globes gush out water while others dripped too slowly. With the tubes, you can control how fast or slow you want the water to flow (note to seller: make all globe stems LARGE diameter now so they are easier to fill). The funnel helps to fill the globes, except for the few stems that are just too thin (note: out of 2 sets of 4 globes, total of 8, there was only 1 that was too thin). Also, it is VERY difficult to punch a hole in the plastic using the awls, but it is super easy with a small drill bit. Despite this, I highly recommend these globes with the plastic tubes. They have made my life easier!

Easy & Attractive
I want to say, first of all, that these arrived in perfect condition. They were packed in their own molded styrofoam box. I can see where an occasional shipping accident could occur, but I think they are packaged well. I use these pretty self-watering bulbs in my outdoor patio plants to help keep them from getting too dried out. I had two similar globes that I bought last year and bought this set to use with additional plants in anticipation for being away for 4 days. The ones that I had previously did not have the plastic tubes and the ends did clog with dirt. These are not for long-term vacation coverage. They let me relax if I miss a day of watering, or give a little help when I am away for a couple of days. Of course, I still pray for rain! I will update this after using the plastic tubes for a longer period. When I got home this time, the soil was very dry but the bulbs in the tubes were almost full. I think that the first set of holes that I made were too small. I have enlarged them and will see how they do. These are intended for pretty large pots. I do have them in my over-the-rail deck boxes and they are fine there too. I push the plastic tubes into the dirt until the rim is just above the dirt. I have found that they support the globes fine.

Very pretty and somewhat useful
Very pretty and nice quality. This will save you a few days of watering, maybe up to a week or two max depending on how dry your air is. The biggest problem comes from sticking them in the dirt they get clogged with wet dirt, and it becomes a problem to refill them easily. Also the width of the tube vary, so some are harder to fill than others. I used them a lot at first and now don’t even bother to fill them. They’re probably most useful if you’re going on a vacation for a week.

Look like jewels
Love the colors they have a festive look. The only thing I didn't like is they plug up and don't water as well as I would like.

Beautiful and they work
These jumbo size watering globes really work! We did a trial run a few days before we left using one 'glass' watering globe per outside plant. (We have 4 large outside plants). We put 2 'plastic' globes and one of these 'glass' jumbo size globes in each plant and after a few days, the 'glass' globe held the water more than the plastic globes. We went on our trip and returned a week later. The plants all survived (end of July week) with high 90s-100 temps. The 'glass' watering globes still had water. The plastic ones did not hold. Will order more before our next vacation. Thank you. They are beautiful and they really work!

Glad I got them, they work great!
I am so pleased with this product. They work very well for me. Thick glass on the stems AND bulb makes me feel a bit better about pushing it into soils that are a wee bit stubborn or roots that are a touch knitted. I don’t have to water as often and the best part is I use them as a reliable watering source for my plants when I’m traveling. No more coming home to withered, droopy or crispy plants! ***One thing to note- the globe must stand upright, not slanted or wobbly after the soil becomes moistened. 90 degree angle kind of straight and it works perfectly. I didn’t pay attention a time or two and the water ran out within 30-40 mins and spilled over the saucer. User error 🙂. Hope this helps!

Plastic tubes and bulbs are not working
I made 1 hole in the plastic tube and it didn’t work it kept getting clogged with dirt and no water would drip out. I pierced 3 holes and had a steady flow when I tested it in the sink. When I put the bulb in the tube it creates a suction and no water drips, sometimes it worked and sometimes I would leave for a week and return to find full bulbs and my plants were dying. Then when I removed the plastic tube, too much water came out and they were overwatered. After several months I realized I could fix the suction between the bulb and tube by adding tiny rocks in the tube and it worked! Now I have too many holes in the tube and need new tubes. I’m about to give up on this product, I’m going to purchase terracotta watering stakes to use instead of the tubes and see if that works.
