Froth-PAK 12 (1.75 PCF) Sealant

I let these foam packs go beyond the use date but they still worked great. They are not cheap for the amount of foam. The control of application is good. I have tried some other brands where the cutoff flow valve just squeezes the tubing. I did not find that these worked as well as the control nozzle on the Froth Pak. Though the safety did get in the way occasionally; you just have to be deliberate in how you squeeze the trigger. Much better than the cans available at your local hardware store. I will definitely purchase more. I used these paks to insulate around the metal duct boots of my hvac system. They were sweating from humid air in the attic meeting the metal of the ceiling duct boots. The original insulation was in poor condition and would not have been easy to replace while straddling the ceiling joists. This product was a perfect solution. Some people have commented negatively about the coverage. Well if you have considerable square footage to cover this is not the product for you. You need a larger foam pak or another typed insulation. But if you have a small area and need some control over the application this will work.

This is the second time I've tried this product. The blue side stopped flowing after a short period so I ended up wasting about 2/3 of each can since it wouldn't mix. I've used it before and sometimes it can work but pressure is too low and there's nowhere near the advertised volume. Since it didn't mix properly, the job wasn't completed and now I have another one to clean it up since the blue part didn't flow. To add insult to injury, I had to maneuver into a very tight crawl space and travel about 60 feet to get to the place that needed to be sealed. Do not buy this product. It's horrible.

I really don't get the negative reviews for this product. I thought it was awesome! Easy to get started. Just screw in the canisters, clip in a mixing nozzle and you're ready to go. You will need to get your plan in order before you start. The nozzle will clog up in 30 seconds if you stop. They give you a few extra nozzles if you do have to stop. One coat seems to set up within a minute at about 1 1/2" thick. You don't have to move fast and I don't recommend going back over what you've laid down until it fully expands and sets. I used it for sound proofing and have been very impressed with the results.

I followed the instructions perfectly and the product worked as advertised. I also understood that it provided one cubit foot of material. I had hoped for a bit more material for the cost but it stops flowing at almost exactly one cubic foot. Thats really NOT a lot of product for $46 bucks!! You are better off buying 9 cans of regular insulating foam at 5 bucks a can!!

I've bought 7 of these kits for various small projects over the past month. All the kits have worked far better than I had expected based on other reviews. The guns are well made, easy to use, and work great. I had none of the problems described in other reviews with any of the 7 kits. As with any foam there is a small learning curve to how much to spray as the foam does expand. Remember these kits are for small jobs, perhaps even slightly smaller than 12 board feet. My only frustration with this product, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is the fact that each kit comes with a gun. The guns are reusable, so if you need to use more than one set of A and B component cans to get the job done you can use multiple set of cans with a single gun. I now have 4 sealed gun kits and no more A and B cans. It feels very wasteful since the guns are well made. I wish I could have ordered extra A and B cans without the gun. Or specified the quantity of A and B cans with just one gun.

I bought this to repair RV compartment boxes that were severly damaged by a tire explosion. the factory boxes are sprayed with a 2lb foam and i wanted to match that with the box repair. i read the bad reviews before purchasing but have worked with spray foam before and figured id give it a try. well i read directions shook both cans excessively and made sure they where warm 90 degrees plus. and held them UPSIDE down while spraying. The results where amazing came out perfect!! i I had plenty of foam for my application and was able to do some extra areas. Would buy again!!!

This product was a complete waste of time and waste of money. As other people have said the quality of the foam was good, the coverage area was so small that the product was unusable. I had planned to use this product to spray between the joists on the inside of a 5' x 8' shed, but was only able to spray the one panel between the joists. An area about 23"x46". I need up buying two sheets of ¾" foam board from Home Depot at half the price. Yes, it took double the time to put the foam board in but when it was all done I think it looks better. I wouldn't use this product again.

I will agree with some other reviews that the value is not there. The volume in the cans is too small to accomplish anything. The nuzzle takes more firm pressure that expected to put it in place (you think it is in place, but you need to push it further). The gun works well and sprays the products well. I will say if your need to cover more than a couple of square feet, get something bigger (or cheaper). I ended up finishing the job with a can of Great Stuff (for large areas) that was 1/5th of the cost of this and was able to cover more area.
