Safety Folding 4 Step Ladder

I’m really impressed with this Easylife folding step ladder. It feels sturdy and secure, even when fully extended, and the non‑slip rubber steps give you real confidence when climbing up and down. The rail support is a big plus — it makes the whole ladder feel much safer, especially when reaching up high. It folds away smoothly and doesn’t take up much space, despite being a 4‑step ladder with a good height. The grip‑tight ridges on the steps are a nice touch too, especially if you’re using it for decorating or jobs where you’re moving around a lot. Overall, it’s a well‑built, reliable ladder that feels much safer than cheaper alternatives. Definitely worth it if you want something strong and stable for jobs around the home.

Fantastic! Good sturdy set of steps. Some assembly is required and you will need a Phillips screwdriver and spanner, to attach the side rails. It is a bit on the heavy side, but this adds to the sturdiness. Good rubber feet and easy to use. The wide treads are nice and comfortable and when standing on the treads the others are not biting into your shins. As an ex builder, retired now, I'm a bit unstable, balance can be a problem, but these help me get the job done. Fold up nice and flat when not in use and take up no room in the garage. Arrived on time, well packaged and even the price was fair. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking to buy a good versatile, safe, set of steps. Hope this helps. xxx

This is a very strong and well made ladder (and I might have said 'sturdy', until the word was misappropriated by cynical mail order companies to describe irredeemably flimsy merchandise). I'm 70 next year, and the ladder is great for those of us who no longer have excellent balance. It's just the job for changing light bulbs, putting up Christmas decorations and for decorating. Unfortunately, the target audience for this ladder may struggle with it's weight. The ladder is made from steel, rather than aluminium, and although this contributes to its undoubted strength, it's two to three times the weight of its aluminium equivalent. But for the right user (ie someone who needs a strong step ladder with robust handrails), and who doesn't mind its considerable weight, this ladder will be hard to beat. Younger and more agile people will be better off with an aluminium ladder. And frailer elderly people may find it too heavy. But it suits me down to the ground. Good value (particularly on a £ per kilogram basis!).

Needed a little extra height, so purchased the 5-step ladder. Always bought Easylife step ladders as they are strong and reliable, though not light weight! The 5 step has a normal strong metal frame with rigid plastic steps, which makes it lighter to carry, much easier, but still strong, reliable and easy to store.

It is exactly what I was looking for but some folk might find it useful to check the specifications. This is made of robust iron tubing, not aluminium, so it is heavy. That said, it is as indicated in the specs referring to weight and didn't take me by surprise. The safety catch on mine could not be set and needed to be nipped in a vice to open the curve and allow it to click over the relevant section of tubing. I don't have any trouble or issue with having to do this. If you're looking for some featherweight step ladder that can be picked up and flicked over to wherever needed, this might not be for you. I am very happy with it as a robust working platform that inspires confidence in use.

Just what I wanted, a ladder that I feel safe using. The hand rail at the top gives me confidence when reaching up, the side rails allow me to get up and down with confidence and the fact that all the steps have a good width means that I don't feel like I am going up and down the ladder on my tip toes. 10 out of 10.

Excellent, solid, well made stepladders. The handles give a great sense of security even on the top step and the weight reflects the sturdiness of the construction. Very good value for money. Arrived promptly with clear instructions for minimal assembly. .

Ladder is nice and sturdy and gives one confidence when using it. The only drawback is that it seems very heavy to carry around (for an 86 year old) despite being described as being very ligtweight.
