I recently purchased the WeatherTech CupFone for my car, and I have to say, it has been an absolute game-changer. This universal cup holder phone mount is exactly what I needed for hands-free phone use while driving. I’m so glad I ordered this! It’s perfect for what I needed! I have an iPhone Pro Max 13 with a case and a pop socket on the back and this fits perfect in my 2018 Toyota Highlander Limited car. No adjustments needed. It’s the perfect height. It’s sturdy and does not move! Couldn’t be happier!

Its WeatherTech, so ya know its quality. I needed something that was short as possible, still adjustable & sturdy. This fit all the bills. Price is definitely worth it. Besides my previous requirements, the thing that caught my eye was the part you slide the phone into. Adjustable, simple & straight forward. No springs to depend on, no buttons to break or push, no gears to wear out. Slide your phone in, slide it back out, easy. The cups to adjust the cup holder size is straight forward. The grip sleeve is very grippy & much appreciated (even though i didnt need to use it). It stays in place super well. When i was setting it all up, i had to hold down on the factory rubber insert because the phone holder was hanging on for life. Plus i didnt have to force it into the cup holder, just set it in place & pushed down with 1 finger. I love it. Samsung S23 with magsafe case 2022 Peterbilt 567

I was hopeful that this cup phone holder would be a simple solution. I had two issues, the max diameter of the phone holder base was smaller than my cars cup holder I fixed this issue by adding a couple of millimeters of electrical tape to increase the diameter. Then my phone with case on would not fit. I removed the case and then found the phone too be loose in the holder. I then added two pieces of 2mm thick by 96mm long pieces of carbon fiber board to the inside back of the phone holder. I attached the board with a few pieces of servo tape. I now have a great phone holder installed in my car. I understood going into this that I would likely need to customize, to fit my car and phone. If you are looking for a quality cup style phone holder I recomend this one. I have tried the lower cost ones but was not happy with them as they would not fit my cup holder very well and would not stay in place.

Although my vehicle came with Apple CarPlay, I never knew where to put my phone. It would either be sitting up-side-down in the cup holder, so that I won’t damage the lighting connection accidentally or be kept inside the center console but the long lightning cord would interfere with the turning knob which controlled CarPlay. When I saw the WeatherTech CupFone at the Motoring Show, I ordered one because WeatherTech is known to sell solid products. Shipping was fast and there was no installation involved. What I liked the most about the CupFone is that it sits tightly in my cup holder (it came with different rings to add size to your cup holder if needed). There is ZERO rattling. My phone sits safely in the adjustable cradle. Unlike other type of cradles, there is no concern about my phone falling out or the suction comes loose from the windshield, even driving on rough or bumpy surfaces. The plastic of the CupFone is solid and well made (not made of cheap plastic as suggested by some reviews). Great product all around. It’s a perfect compliment to my CarPlay! The price is a little steep but you get what you pay for :-).
