Review: Great for Jazz dancing. - The shoes are great and very stable for dancing. Turns are much easier in these than in normal jazz shoes however I am not able to point my toe as well. They look nice and would be great for both jazz and hip hop. As for sizing, I typically wear a 7-7.5 in sneakers. I ordered a 7.5 and it's a little too big to do toe stands without my feet sliding forward. The people saying to order a size up apparently want these to fit like althletic shoes not dance shoes. So if you're getting them for zumba or to wear everyday, go up a size. If you are a dancer get your normal size.
Review: True to Size. Easy Turns. Easy to Stop. - I'm a former amateur dancer. I did ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and hip hop in high school and college. There's a reason Capezios are a trusted brand. Since college, I've partner danced socially and now that I'm 40 years old, I have no interest in dancing in heels any longer. Even my short 2.5 inch heels. Retired them. I just want to be comfortable and enjoy the dance to the fullest. I care more about how my body feels in the movement, than how my feet look in the shoes. So I bought these jazz sneakers for salsa and swing dancing. I just tried them on in my house on wood floors and they are as amazing as I remember. I was able to do inside and outside double turns. If my balance were better, I would have been able to easily hit triple and quadruples. They have enough grip to dance around and stop when I want and they are designed for easy turns, keeping the knees safe and helping with balance. I also want to note that they look, feel, and turn better than Fuegos. Fuegos are unisex shoes, so even when they are sized right, they rub the outside of my feet and look like clunky guy shoes on my feet. Almost like clown shoes, since the Fuegos are so wide. That's another reason I opted for Capezios. They look nice on my feet; they are made to fit women's feet so they look more slender and they hug my feet properly without rubbing; and they allow me to point and turn. I'll save the Fuegos for outdoor events and use the Capezios for indoor dancing. Also, there is a bunch of conversation in the reviews about sizing up or down. desertcart's AI even suggested that I size down by half and said that 90% of users that take their suggestion don't return them. desertcart was wrong. These Capezios run TRUE TO SIZE. If you were born female, order your normal size. I wear 8.5 in most shoes, 9 in some heels. An 8.5 fit me perfectly.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I'm ordering from overseas and I'm reading that sizes run small and I have very wide feet like a man. What is the size chart for the width or girth?**
A: I have very wide feet I usually wear 7.5-8. I bought 81/2. My first pair lasted a year then started to tear on my left outer side but that is my wider foot. I wear them to do Zumba 3-5 times a week.

**Q: The description says nothing about glide...Told synthetic soles (vs leather) don't have it? (have to put duct tape on soles of my running shoes!)**
A: The Capezio Dance Sneakers are designed specifically for dancers. "Spinning is effortless thanks to built-in patented flex points and forepart spin spot." Most running shoes have traction, which is why they recommend athletic tape for running shoes.

**Q: Do you think these would work well/be supportive enough for a high impact style of dancing? (ie. lots of jumping) Thanks!**
A: I use them for Zumba. I have a very high instep and arch and they offer good support for this. Hope this helps.

**Q: Do you think these would work well/be supportive enough for a high impact style of dancing? (ie. lots of jumping) Thanks!**
A: They really are mostly design for hip-hop or jazz dancing so I’m not quite sure how supportive they really are in the ankle area for example

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ There's a lot good and a little not so good.
*by S***L on August 9, 2022*

I just danced in them for the first time and I'm not sure if I should keep them or return them. Here are the points: Good toe pivot. Good heel pivot. Decent grip even with pivot so you can hold your place in various postions without sliding. Moderate to poor glide. It's okay, but doesn't hold a candle to the glide on the old capezio jazz shoes. High arch support which I like because of a history of ballet and pointe which distorts your foot shape a bit, but some might feel it's too high. I purchased a half size up reading reviews about them running small. They fit lengthwise, but they're too narrow. Not causing extreme pain, but it does cause some discomfort and tingling in my smaller toes. Don't love the "support" at the ankle. It's supportive but bulky. It's just okay. This is probably a little picky but I don't like the rounded laces. It makes them hard to tie and tighten, but it can be done with a little extra pull. Lastly, they are not pretty but that doesn't matter much to me. In the end, it was a pretty good dance. All in all I'd give them about an 80%. I've been trying several brands of dance shoes and dance sneakers and this one is among the highest. Still looking for that perfect pair.
