Harissa with Preserved Lemons

Very tasty with nice harissa zip and mild ,but good preserved lemon taste.

This is a wonderful way to use Harissa. It’s mixed w oil & lemon so it’s not too spicy and I’m a big fan .

I bought this for a chicken recipe. I had used preserved lemons before, but this harissa version is amazing! I added some additional spices, and the chicken turned out juicy and flavorful. I even used it on our turkey this past Thanksgiving, and everyone raved about the unique flavor…even the picky eaters!

Smells wonderful, but lid came off in shipping and product spilled all over the inside of the box. I received a refund, but price was a lot more now so I didn't reorder.

The flavor was spot on, a little on the saucy side, wouldn't have minded a bit thicker. Would have preferred chunkier bits of lemon. Took a little longer than expected (2 weeks, instead of 1) to infuse my Moroccan olives. Next time, I will get the regular flavor and add my own preserved lemons. All in all, quite worth it.

I add this to items like felafel in my salad to give them more flavor. It's a little spicy, but works great to add some zip to an otherwise bland addition to the salad.

At first I disliked it. My bad. I used too much. Easy to do. I use it in my hummus. And first time, I used a full teaspoon (cereal not measuring). Threw the whole batch off. It mellowed so this time, I used 1/4 of a cereal spoon and it was perfect! This jar will expire before I use it all. It's amazing stuff!
