- TEST/HUSH BUTTON: Press the large test button to ensure your Fire Angel smoke alarm is working properly. A loud, high-pitched sound will verify it. To silence a false alarm, press and hold the button for 5 seconds.
- 1 YEAR BATTERY: Each battery operated smoke alarm comes with a 1 year, replaceable 9V battery. When the smoke alarm battery is low, the device will 'chirp' and the red LED will flash once every 32 seconds. Replace the battery ASAP.
- EASY INSTALLATION: Each FireAngel smoke alarm comes with a removable base plate. Attach the base plate to the ceiling using the screws provided. After inserting the battery, push and twist the alarm clockwise onto the base plate.
- SAFETY ASSURED: The SB1-R alarm holds both CE and UKCA marks and has been certified to BS EN14604:2005. Suitable for domestic properties including mobile homes and caravans. Not suitable for commercial properties. Includes a 3-year warranty.

**Q: Keeps going off randomly and has worn out 2 batteries in 6 months?**
A: False alarms are commonly caused by something contaminating the sensor within the unit - usually dust particles or small insects. This an be easily rectified by using the hose from your vacuum cleaner and cleaning around the outside of the alarm. 
In the unlikely event that cleaning the unit does not resolve the issue, please give our helpful Technical Support team a call on 0800 141 2561 and someone will be happy to help you further.

**Q: Keeps beeping 3 times after install? No indication why?**
A: We tossed ours in the bin, it kept going off on the stair landing every time the steam from the bathroom hit it.
It would even go off when nothing was there to make it go off.
It was brand new but went in the bin,

**Q: Can i use glue to stick onto the ceiling? i am unable to remove my magnet, and need to reposition this elsewhere! thanks**
A: My device is attached to a back plate which is screwed to the ceiling. This enables me to remove it from the site when decorating.
