These measuring spoons are really lovely. They are made of Zinc which gives the metal portion a kind of burnished silver look. They are sturdy and hold up to the demands of cooking and are top drawer dish washer safe. The Ganz collection of unique, whimsical, geegaws is vast, but of all these are my favorites. The colored enameled birds at the top of the spoons are really pretty and the spoons themselves shaped like leaves. As with anything, I don't know that these measure exactly when compared with my fancy All-Clad spoons, but I can say that I love to cook with them because they just make me smile. Great gift too. While it depends on the provider, sometimes they come in a plain white box that can be wrapped or they come just wrapped in clear plastic. The one ding I would give is that no product information accompanies these so when given as a gift, there is no reference for the receiver to use to find out more about them or where to get them. Otherwise, I just love these silly little things.

I loved what I saw online, but when these arrived I was pleased beyond expectations. These have a good hefty weight; the birds are colorful and fun, each sitting on their own little flower/leaf perch before the branch continues down to the measuring leaf-spoon. The spoon portion is so gorgeous. One bird is copper & cobalt, one is yellow and two are copper- but they are in different poses. They are worthy of hanging on display. I won't, because I like to use what I love (and prefer to have as little as possible to dust). After receiving them I looked at more Ganz measuring spoons sets, because there are several styles-- and what a perfect gift for bridal showers, weddings, Christmas stocking stuffers, hostess or housewarming gifts, etc. etc.!

This is the 2nd set of these measuring spoons that I have bought as gifts. Their beauty is stunning.

The spoons are pretty but they don't hang nicely. I should have gotten the one with the hanging bar.
