Great ladder, but I need to either work out for find some strong friends
Great price, and free delivery through Amazon was great...no way could I have gotten this beast home from Lowe's or Home Depot with my car. But my God, it is heavy, and difficult to extend if you're your average couch potato like me. I bought the optional rubber grips for the ends...which may be added to the problem. I tried extending up the outside wall of a cedar-side house, and the rubber feet didn't "slide" as I was trying to extend it so had to try pulling the ladder away from the wall while simultaneously pushing up the extension. I'm just not strong enough to do this. I'll try taking the rubber protective feet off tomorrow to see if that helps. I probably should have bought the 28' model (which would have been big enough for my use) but for some reason at the time I ordered, the 32' one was cheaper.

Werner D6228-2 300-Pound Duty Rating Fiberglass Flat D-Rung Extension Ladder, 28-Foot
What a tool to have around the house!!! Reach anything... •28-foot ladder extends a working height of 25-feet •Durable rail shield bracket and shoe with Shu-Lok, slip resistant pad and spur plate •External guides at top of base section securely interlock rails •Slip Resistant Traction-Tred D-rungs •Exclusive Alflo rung joint means Twist-Proof performance Built for Safety and Durability D6200-2 ladders have a Type IA duty rating, which means they have a load capacity of 300 pounds. Completely dependable, each ladder features slip-resistant Traction-Tred 1-1/2-inch D-rungs that provide a level, comfortable standing surface. And because Werner D6200-2 Series ladders are made with fiberglass non-conductive rails they are recommended for use around electricity. For durability, this series includes many features, such as the exclusive ALFLO rung joint, rugged gravity spring locks, durable rail shield brackets, shoes with Shu-Lok slip-resistant pad and spur plate, and molded rung braces. Twist-Proof Connections and Shu-Lok Feet D6200 Series ladders feature the patented ALFLO rung-to-rail connections that help keep the ladder from twisting during use. The Shu-Lok slip-resistant pad and spur plate can rest flat or in spur position for soft ground. During setup, the Shu-Lok feature holds each foot in position. This means your hands are free to properly set up the ladder. Easy to Extend and Separate Each Werner D6200 Series ladder is easy to extend thanks to external guides at the top of the base section and internal guides on the bottom of the fly section. In addition, the rugged gravity spring locks operate smoothly. Also, each ladder utilizes a smooth-operating, heavy-duty rope and pulley and features a rope clamp that ties the rope to the rung (the 16-foot model is not equipped with rope and pulley). For further convenience, the base and fly sections separate easily, so you can use the base section as a single ladder. Hassle-Free Accessory Installation For further convenience, pre-pierced holes on the rails make for easy field installation of accessories, including Pole Lashes, Cable Hook and V-Rung Assembly, and others. A great ladder, but heavy.
My friend was a cable installer, so he became very good at maneuvering ladders, but he ALMOST dropped this one. I don't recommend trying to using this one by yourself unless you are much stronger than I am. Once you muscle this monster into place, this is a great ladder.

Well Built Ladder
I'm afraid of heights, so when I had to get up to the 24' plus peak on my house, needed something very sturdy as I'm not as light as I used to be. I was pleasantly surprised that at the 24' level, the ladder felt as sturdy as I was at the bottom. While solidly built and I needed help to steady while extending it, it was rather easy for me to extend to the height I needed. Well built.

DO NOT BUY THIS FROM AMAZON
Ship Carrier: CEVA Latest Event: Tulsa OK Delivery appointment scheduled - Aug 17, 2010 5:00:00 PM I should have listened to all the other reviews. I took the day off work and waited for it to be delivered since they called a few days earlier to set up a delivery time. They did not come to my house nor did they call to say it wasn't being delivered for any reason. I took my chance with this freight company and got burned like many of the other reviewers that have thing delivered by this company. (STRIKE ONE) UPDATE: I email Amazon on Tuesday night way after delivery time and get the following response: "Hello from Amazon.com. While researching your order, I noticed you wrote to us shortly before Ceva confirmed that your shipment was delivered yesterday. Since it looks like your concern may have already been addressed, I haven't taken any action on your order. If the information we have is incorrect, and your shipment hasn't been delivered, please let us know so we can look into this further." Really? My email was sent at 08/17/10 20:32:24. The package was not delivered, this email is not correct. (STRIKE TWO) CEVA calls on Wednesday while I'm at work (mind you the delivery date was for Tuesday when I was home all day) and says he's almost at my house for the delivery. I tell the driver the delivery was set for Tuesday and ask why it wasn't delivered when I was off to which he responds, "i dunno." He asks if there's anybody home which I respond "yes" but nobody to sign for it and to have his supervisor call me to schedule an appointment. He calls me a minute later and says "I just got off with the main corporate and if it was okay if we could just drop it off And get it over with and set it up and get a time for. Well, if not we have a write on refused by owner and reschedule another day. If you would give me a call back (I have this voice message saved thanks to Google Voice)" I then get a frightened phone call from someone at my house that someone has been ringing the door bell and pounding on the door for a long long time and won't go away and they are scared. (STRIKE THREE) I call Amazon help desk who says they'll only connect me to CEVA to see what the problem is. I tell them I don't want to talk to CEVA because it's "Sold by: Amazon.com, LLC" and I shouldn't have to deal with a freight company that I already got burned with. I then tell her I want to cancel my order to which I only get the reply, "it's already been shipped, I can't cancel it." After complaining for 5 minutes, she sends me to the specialist help desk in the states instead of their overseas call center. The specialist agrees to cancel my order. After she said I'd be refunded, I was smart enough to ask the question, "all of it?" To which she responded, "all but $34 for shipping." (STRIKE FOUR( My response to that was, "okay, but I'm billing you $34 for me having to sit at home all day for nothing." She finally agreed to put a note in my profile that I would be refunded the full amount and if I wasn't, to call back and they would see the note. She also assured me that she would follow up herself on this and that there would be no further problems. Now, it's Friday and it shows on my account that the product was delivered on Thursday. Really? My guess would be that CEVA got mad because I refused delivery and just marked it delivered all while stealing the item. There was someone home all day Thursday and there was no delivery made and there shouldn't have been anyways since the order was cancelled before 2PM on Wednesday by Amazon. So now I have no product and I am out over $200 and so I call Amazon again. They just tell me to call back tomorrow as their specialist department is closed. I talk to a supervisor at the call center and he is only able to tell me, "I'll email the specialist department directly explaining to them what has occurred." I ask him to send me a copy of this email to which he refuses. I tell him with a copy of this email that he is supposedly writing, that I will be able to dispute the charges with my credit card company. His only answer was "I assure you it will be taken care of, but call back tomorrow." Do you see my frustration with dealing with Amazon and why you should not deal with them on freighted items?
