Followed instructions, watched video, but the platform fits too tight on the ladder so it does not slide into the open position at all. Very frustrating **Q: Can I use this platform for two people (one on each side of the extreme little giant extreme.?** A: If you mean two people on one platform, then no - not enough room and no way to balance like that. If you mean two platforms - one on each side of the ladder, then yes, it works great that way -- BUT BE AWARE that the ladder is only rated to hold a certain amount of weight per side. The Little Giant Xtreme is rated for 300 lbs., which means it will hold 300 lbs. safely on each side (it will actually hold much more, but less safely, and if it does break/fail they are only liable to help you if you didn't exceed the max. rated weight). This is good to know for any ladder. Some are only rated 200 lbs.
