PARASYTE - THE MAXIM - COMPLETE COLLECTION

Came in excellent condition, and the anime itself is amazing. When I saw this on sale for like 50 bucks, I just had to snag it. This was hard to find without having to go online but, I'm glad thatbi was able to get this one. It was wrapped up nicely and the case and disks are in excellent condition. The anime itself is a must see, especially if you enjoy tons of gore. And a slapping opening! The story had me on the edge of my seat towards the end and it was executed very nicely! Can't wait to watch it again!

Such a great show with enough content to keep you entertained but not overstay its welcome.

On this recent kick to expand my anime collection from 3 titles to ??? titles, I came across this, and I'm surprised there aren't more reviews. I think the synopsis in the product description serves well enough (did for me at least), but in addition to the body horror storyline also comes some good drama and twists, and a romance angle that's actually very well executed! Of course you get some sprinkles of humor here and there, too, but the horror, drama, and romance are the big players here. The last episode serves as something of an epilogue at first with a bunch of exposition and grandstanding about one of the themes that's hinted at throughout the story hammering home one of their concepts in case it flew over your head, but also ties up a loose end and gives quite a good ending! If those three elements combined, layered with some decent action over a bed of good animation and great music appeals to you, you owe it to yourself to give this one a shot. Yes as mentioned it's not gore-heavy even though the premise definitely sets up the opportunity to be, but that's okay! Watch it for the story.

This is one of my favorite mangas, turned into a very good anime (though the OP is questionable), given a very good blu-ray box. I am quite happy with it.

Went into Parasyte completely blind and I am glad I did. This is definitely a top 5 for me. The physical release is worth every dollar. Emotionally gripping and brilliant story that makes you question moral aspects of life.

Watched a few episodes of this great horror series on Netflix, but I prefer to own my Anime, and for whatever reason I could not find this on blu-ray in Australia.. thankfully I have a multi-region blu-ray player, so when I saw this I instantly bought it. Really a must watch series with an absolute banger of an OP by Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas!

This is one of my favorite animes! Alien parasites come to earth, take over people's lives, and go around killing/eating people -- but they're not all bad! Migi, a parasite, ends up on a boy's hand rather than his head, and the two become unlikely friends. Watch the boy change from a meek little nerd into a badass fighter, trying to save the earth before the parasites can take over. Also, if you have a weak stomach, honestly, the gore in this really isn't bad at all.

I originally watched this series on Crunchyroll streaming, and loved it. When I found out it was on BluRay, I had to have it. If you're a fan of violent anime, with a touch of dark humor, very sad moments, and very likeable characters you'll love this. Amazing picture quality and sound. 5 stars!
