Shop Cone Wrench Set (14 Piece)

After 45 years it was time to replace some cone wrenches. I do a lot of older bike restorations, ranging from 60s and 70s Schwinn bikes, to older and more modern road, mountain, gravel, and race bikes, and a few kids bikes from around the neighborhood. I debated buying just a few of the wrenches I use the most, but after thinking it over a bit, I realize I use quite a few of the larger sizes too. It seems I'm always looking for a larger thin wrench, and the 20 - 28MM size do come in handy. There are cheaper options out there, but Park are generally thinner and better hardened than the other options. I really believe they last longer, and I've never run into a situation where the wrench was too thick, unlike the Taiwan and China options. I know, I sound like one of the Park Tool fan boys, but after decades working on bicycles, Park has proven its worth for me.

Nice wrench set, wrenches are marked with size, cushioned coating provided helps with handling and provides some protection and comfort for hands. Pleased I purchased them. Far nicer than my worn out set ever was. Delivered quickly.

A lot of the reviews I read stated they were costly but when you compare to other cone wrench reviews these stand out. According to reviews others sets had missing or gaps in the sizes and did not hold up. If you do the math the wrenches are $6 per wrench. Buying individual wrench sizes cost double than buying in a set. Even though there are sizes that I may never use - at least I have them and will not have to wait on another order.

Just plain Good

Good deal for all these cone wrenches. Superior Park quality just like you would expect. The packaging could be better, though. They tend to get a little scratched up with shipping but I don't mind. They are meant to get used anyways.

Park Tool is the Snap On of bikes, well made and engineered stuff. You won’t need all of them but I never know which size I do need and I have found a ton of other uses for a thin wrench in my shop so buy the whole set!

Excellent. Competitively priced at the time of purchase. Having the right tools for the job speeds up the job and in this case no rounded nuts or other damaged parts. Watch Park tool videos for guides how to use these if you’ve not serviced loose bearing hubs before.
