This works very well. I use this and the fall lawn treatment and some weed killer that attaches to a garden hose for periodic lawn treatment. For less than $100.00 per year my lawn (approx. 1/5 acre) is virtually weed free and nice and green. People compliment my lawn. I would suggest using this with the Scotts spreader so you will know the precise setting to use. Let me also mention: I use dishwashing gloves when putting this in the spreader, to break up clumps, etc. You should not have this touch your skin. Also, this will not prevent crabgrass or other weeds all season long. The effect lasts approximately 3 months. I usually apply it right after St. Patrick's Day, or a week later. That is what I understand to be optimal. Later in the season I use weed killer in a container that attaches to a hose for application. That will kill the weeds after this has worn off.

Works well.

Scotts has an excellent reputation. I use this product every spring. One has to pay a little more, but it is worth it.

Applied in early February in zone 9 but it did not prevent crabgrass. It did help with some other nuisance lawn weeds.
