Peckish 60052109 Acorn Shaped Metal Bird Feeder, Brown, 18.0 cm*14.0 cm*14.0 cm

I LOVE this cute acorn shape bird feeder and also birds love using it! It took a few days for the birds to notice but once they have noticed it they regulaly come and eat from it. We also have a visitor daily who comes about once a day and steals some nuts from it, a little squirrel :-) but he/she is not that greedy and leaves most of the seeds for the birds to eat so basically they share the feeder which is ok. There is always enough seeds to eat from my feeder as I daily top up the seeds. I use the "Peckish complete seed and nut mix no mess 12 seed blend" in the feeder. The feeder itself is bigger than I expected, and really it is a lovely piece. Very happy with this item! Easy to clean it and easy to place the seeds inside. The buttom part of the feeder has tiny wholes so the water can drain through if it is raining and the seeds are not soaking in the water. Some of the tiny birds can sit inside and they are eating the seeds for minutes then fly away. The item arrived with a combined order within reasonable time. It was well packed. I also ordered an 'S' shape hook to be able to place the feeder on the tree. I have tried to place it high enough to be able to take it on and off when adding some more seeds and to ensure it is too far for my neighbour's cats to reach :-) happy to recommend this acorn shape bird feeder!

Very well made bird feeder. Good Size and the Birds are loving it too, along with their peckish food. Arrived on time and well packed. I would definitely recommend.

I was not sure at first. The birds do not show an interest. So I moved it to their head height when they pop on the fence and they now use it everyday. Robins, sparrows and blue tits love it. I have bought another one now as this does seem to be sturdy and easy to clean as well as looks so cute. Although the seeds do get wet, so I drilled more holes in the bottom and that solved the problem. the seeds then manage to dry out. Make sure you screw in tight, if you have pigeons about. The pigeons will try to land on top with the intention to knocking it off to get to the food. If it is screwed in tight then they will be sturdy enough to take it. I put pigeon spikes on my feeder station to deter the pigeons to protect the acorn feeders.. I have 4 of these now and hand painted then as the colour faded after a year in the sun. They still look good and the birds , even the starlings love them.

This looks pretty hanging in a bush, but the birds took a long time before using it. I think it is a bit enclosed for them to feel safe going in to the dark space. It does not take much food as the base is quite shallow, due to the design. Therefore, needs filling very often once the birds start using it. Finally, the nut and ring holding top on came away and dropped into leaf litter. Finally found and replaced, but could be better designed to stay on.

I was so fed up of having to unblock the plastic bird feeders daily in all the wet weather, so I thought I'd try these..their well made, sturdy and just the right size for garden birds and they look amazing ordered one initially saw how lovely it looked and ordered more...highly recommend.

Item is very well made and easy to fill - tip I use a plastic bottle with a long neck, once dry you can put the seed in it and tip directly into the dish. Another tip, I did add a length of wood about 170mm to the underneath of the feeder to help the birds (such as Robins) perch, but item can be used without it. Easy to fix 1 small screw through the centre hole (which is already there). I would also like to thanks the seller Trowell Garden Centre great service and this item was cheaper than EBay!

Really well made cute little bird feeder. Seems sturdy. A bit smaller than expected so would only suit small birds like robins or sparrows. Would not be big enough for black birds. I had to scoop the food in as hole is smaller than expected.!but it is good quality and i am pleased with it as it seems waterproof

J'adore cette mangeoire à oiseaux, positionnée dans mon jardin sur une pique en fer qui peut soutenir des pots de fleur. Aucun oiseau ne semble s'y poser (faut dire que je la remplis peu souvent), mais c'est très joli et de qualité.

Nos petits visiteurs ont mis 2 jours avant de l adopter mais une fois qu ils ont compris, c est parti mon kiki.

Sieht sehr schön aus. Ich fülle die Futterstation mit Mehlwürmern. Wird gut angenommen. Einziger Nachteil: Es geht nicht viel hinein.
