Panasonic 2400EB-K Portable Radio

I have checked 3-4 radios before this radio but no one had shown a satisfactory performance. I always wished to present my mother a good radio. Here ends my search. The sound quality of the radio is very clear and loud. The FM reception is crystal clear and AM reception is also satisfactory. The design and build of the radio is much appealing. It works on both cells and power supply. My mother uses it wherever she wants by plugging its cord into the electricity mains. Altogether a relaxing experience after buying 4th radio. No more searching for radios on Amazon now. We are happy.

Sound quality, tuning, volume control, and the product physical quality are all excellent. The tuning dial is excellent and easy to know which station has been tuned into. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

FM reception is we can say good. AM reception is not at all receiving. Sound quality is good. Works with 230V Indian plug .No issue in Power supply requirements. Reception checked at two different areas apart 450kms areas. FM is good and AM is never without noise. If you are a FM lover go ahead and not for AM n MW bcoz no MW band in radio.

Good radio overall. Good FM Reception in Mumbai suburb of Malad area. Good Sound Quality. I have not tried AM stations yet.

Within two months from the date of purchase, volume control is giving trouble. It proves that the radio set was defective and as there was no warranty period now I'm helpless. I have been cheated by the seller.

A good retro AM/FM band radio receiver. You get to hear "Radio" in the pure form outside your car also, in the comfort of living room. In the era of pod-casts, Radio are still globally popular, this device is a good collection too!

Not clear sound and reception problem within 7 days , replaced radio was sent as defective piece so returned

The Panasonic RF-2400 has always intrigued me. As you can tell by my user name, I love radios. All types! I've owned Sonys, Grundigs, Bose, Sangeans, you name it, I've owned it at one time or another. A few weeks ago I ordered this wonderful radio. From the minute I turned it on, I was very impressed. First, the sound.... Unbelievable. If you've ever owned a GE Superradio and heard the sound from it, you will know exactly what I'm talking about. A clear, crisp sound emits from the 3.5" speaker. Control knobs are simple. Tuning is acurate. What more could you ask for in a radio. It would make a perfect gift for anyone. Especially if they listen to much radio at all. Another great product from Panasonic!

Working

This is a very good kitchen radio indeed, very high quality for the price, weighty and substantial with a decent quality speaker that has a 1w RMS rating. This means that it can go reasonably loud without any distortion, and because it is a good speaker in itself the sound quality is very good indeed, not tinny, but with a nice intermediate tone which is otherwise nonadjustable. Unlike a lot of radios, or any equipment today, this hasn't suffered a cost-cutting exercise of not including a mains lead, and as this was to be the only power supply method that this radio was to utilize it was a necessity to have one supplied. It is also a standard lead with the figure-of-eifght connector, not one of those dumb ones that have a built in transformer. It's extremely simple to operate. There's a three-position switch above the very large and clear frequency window, the positions of which show a day-glo orange marker next to or under the function that represents its position. Put the switch all the way to the left and the radio is OFF. One click to the right it is on FM, and all the way right AM. Tuning is done with the obvious knob on the side, it is not jerky, it is smooth and stiff enougfh to be able to tune accurately, so it's extremely easy to tune, it also has a red LED that tells one when it has reached the maximum quality (signal strength) of tuning for any channel. This radio successfully picked up BBC Radio Wales, which is something that I was barely able to do with my old one - ever, and it picked it up with a strong enough signal to light that LED, This means that the aerial and the components inside are very good too. Volume is controlled by a knurled wheel on the side and it also had a headphone jack.
