What are the outside dimensions of the 4.7 cup container? Thanks in advance.

Approximate size is 7" long X 5" wide and 3" deep. Best part is the lids that fit the 4.7 also fit the 3.2 size container. PS...I absolutely LOVE these containers. They exceed any and everything I've ever brought and believe me I've brought plenty through the years.

Does pasta red sauce permanently stain the inside of the container?

I learned that putting a little dish soap in them with a little bit of water and shake it (obviously with the lid on) it removes the red staining from sauces....even works in the super cheap containers :)

Do they nest inside each other when empty?

Hard wearing, beautiful and machine washable

Love my Rubbermaid boxes. This is the second lot I purchased having been so pleased with the first. They are super handy, look beautiful and I pop them in the dishwasher all the time. They have aged beautifully. Highly recommend them!

RUINED CONTAINER

At first very impressed with these containers and seemed to be totally airtight and leak proof. Used container for the first time by placing a warm stew inside and lightly attached bread to the container with clingfilm. I was horrified to discover that the clingfilm had totally melted into the surface of the container and cannot be removed so the container is now ruined and useless. These containers are advertised to have a lifetime guarantee but cannot seem to contact the seller through Amazon or have any information on how to report this issue or have the item replaced. Extremely disappointed and quite annoyed
