Review: Fantastic Watch Crystal Adhesive — Clean, Clear, and Reliable - This stuff worked fantastic for securing a crystal. I used it on a Bulova cocktail watch, and it performed exactly as hoped. The glue dried clear, and since it’s not known to off-gas, I’m not concerned about it affecting the delicate internals of the movement. Once set, the crystal looks great — you honestly can’t tell any adhesive was used at all. It’s now securely fixed in place, and the watch looks untouched, which is exactly the result I wanted. Overall, this is a great product and does the job well — a solid choice for watch repair or restoration projects involving acrylic or mineral crystals. TL;DR: Clear-drying, easy-to-use adhesive that’s perfect for watch crystals. No off-gassing, holds strong, and leaves no visible residue. Great product for precision watch work.
Review: Perfect tool to use for jewelry - This is the best glue to use for setting rhinestones in jewelry. Its narrow tip makes it easy to use in small places. It is not brittle and seals the stone well. I’ve never had to reset zones. I use with this cement so it is durable.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I like this glue but how to stop the glue from oozing out before l replace the cap?**
A: I was also not able to stop the glue from oozing out. The cap stuck to the top and now I have a full tube of glue but no way to access it. Sheer waste.

**Q: Will this work on serting pearls on a ring or jewelry piece?**
A: It might, but as is the case when gluing ANYTHING one must take care in properly preparing both surfaces (roughing up any smooth, slick surfaces with a file, sandpaper, etc), cleaning off any of the resulting debris from sanding, as well as cleaning off ALL traces of anything which could impede a proper bond. The latter part would be ideally done with something like rubbing alcohol or isopropyl alcohol if the item is delicate and the finish can't take a stronger solvent, and whenever possible I prefer to use something stronger such as acetone as it will help further "unslick" the surface to give the adhesive a better chance of "grabbing" and not just peel off over time (or right away). Even if you THINK the surfaces are clean it's best to ALWAYS do a wipe down with alcohol, acetone, or a similar such solvent (NOT window or household cleaners as they will also leave a film/residue which will impede bonding). Needless to say, especially for non-porous, difficult to glue surfaces (such as plastics, metals, shiny, smooth pearls, etc) care should also be taken to clean with a lint-free cloth since even minute bits of lint can prevent the surfaces from fully bonding together. Care must also be taken to not touch either of the surfaces again after cleaning, as even brief contact can be the achilles heel in the equation... the natural oils in our skin will impede the bonding process and you'll end up with a weakened, less-than-ideal bond. And of course proper curing times without handling said item must be observed (always refer to package instructions; they're there for a reason). That said, even if this product might work for such a purpose, it wouldn't be my go-to adhesive in such a situation as what you're describing. For that I would absolutely go with a 2-part jewelry epoxy as that would provide the strongest, most durable bond for that type of project. By now you've probably already glued the project in question, so if at some point the bond ever breaks and you need to re-glue it with a different adhesive such as an epoxy as I suggest (or for anyone else who's doing something similar but prefers to try this product first or another because it happens to be handy) then before attempting to re-glue the piece you'd need to remove all traces of old, hardened adhesive (by filing it off or whatever) to start from scratch with a clean, level surface, and follow the above mentioned steps of proper cleaning and whatnot. These tips go for almost ALL adhesives and surfaces to be worked with, not just in this instance... it's 101 of proper gluing, and when people complain about an adhesives not working properly it's usually because of wrong product choice for the material(s) in question, poor --or no-- proper surface preparation, and/or not observing the proper curing times as many people tend to get impatient and push their luck by using the item before curing time has completed. Many people figure once it's dry, it's dry... but 'dry' adhesive and 'cured' adhesive are not the same thing.. curing is the process in which the adhesive undergoes a change in chemical composition to fully harden into its final, durable, and stable state. I hope this "guide" is helpful for some people, however wordy it is! :)

**Q: Drying time? What to use for cleaning? Thanks.**
A: I use this glue for my jewelry project.. I let it dry for at least 2 hours. If, It's A glass Vase I would wait longer. Better to be safe. The cleaning must be done right way. I use a damp towel but, it would depend on my project.

**Q: Can you use this to fix a gold tooth?**
A: This is not for medical use, the applications are in the description

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best jewelry glue for precision work
*by K***A on October 31, 2025*

GS Hypo Cement is a must-have for jewelry makers! The fine precision tip makes it easy to apply just the right amount of glue exactly where you need it—no mess or waste. It dries clear and holds knots, metal findings, and small embellishments securely without leaving any residue. I love that it gives a little working time before setting, which is perfect for detailed projects. A little goes a long way, and the tube lasts forever. Highly recommend for anyone who makes bracelets, necklaces, or repairs jewelry! I use it specifically for the knots when making stretchy bracelets.
