They're magnetic and rechargeable. I was looking for some kind of light to stick to my toilet that would illuminate it when I used the bathroom in the middle of the night. I chose these over the over the rim toilet lights because I had one of those and it was dead in a month and required batteries. This one I stuck to the under side of the seat cover, but low enough that the seat would go over it when lifted and these have worked perfectly for that. They even have a property that I was not expecting and somewhat worried about, they seem to be at least water resistant. Both lights have fallen into the toilet from other members of the house hold putting the cover down, but the lights continue to work. That shows my only complaint, which is I wish the magnet was stronger. It still takes a bit of force from the seat dropping to get it to fall, but still weak enough to fall from a light drop. Overall, I love these little lights, they light up the toilet without blinding me and still manage to continue to work even after falling into the water. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great price serves our needs. *by H***C on Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2019* The real plus to this product is that batteries aren't required. We have two installed in a room we enter from our garage, so it goes on and off quite frequently. We have to charge them about every 7 weeks. It doesn't take long to charge them.
