DYMO Rhino 4200 Industrial Label Maker Carry Case Kit with 1 Roll of 1/2" All-Purpose Vinyl Labels, Black on White

I specifically wanted a cable wrapping thermal label printer for labeling some cables at home for my small network so I can remember what goes where. This printer does great at this with the built in modes for cable wrapping. The flexible nylon label tape went on really good to my cat6 cables. While it might not have as many special symbols as more expensive, it's got enough to be able to clearly label most things I've got around my house. If I were in a data center I might want something more advanced but for home lab use this one has been great. It sometimes seems to struggle a bit with printing clearly in the middle of the tape where the backing is split lengthwise down the tape. Not enough to make the text unreadable mind you but there are some artifacts in the printed output on occasion. It's not been an issue in legibility at all printing at the smallest size so I wouldn't doc a star for this at all. This seems to be the normal stuff that all thermal printers seem to do. It prints very clearly like 99% of the time like any other thermal printer I've encountered.

I bought the labeler with the normal adhesive tape and wire marker tubes. I haven’t tried the marker tubes yet but as far as the regular labels, it works awesome. The label tape is a little expensive compared to the cheap models at the hardware store, but it is better quality.

I bought this to help me label a massive cabling job. Then, I used it around the house to help organize at home. I really appreciate the backlit screen, as I work in darker environments quite often. The buttons are big and responsive. There are lots of different types of labels you can create with this device, and you can save up to 99 custom labels. This really helps speed things up if you find yourself using the same label, or label setups often. There are a good number of symbols you can use on your labels as well. I really like the rechargeable battery. It lasts a long time, and you can use the label maker while plugged in and charging the battery, if you need to. The protective case is a nice addition, though it is a bit bulky. The labeler also comes with a handy user guide that has big tabs to quickly find the function you are looking for.

As a technology integrator, we rely on this labeler as a standard issue for our technicians in the field, and it has consistently exceeded our expectations. We have over 20 units in active use, many for several years, and the durability and longevity of this product are remarkable. Even under heavy, regular use in demanding environments, we've only encountered minor issues with a handful of units. First of all want to say. In term of the product, listing order everything about it. It’s a great printer. Exactly everything you see is what you get. My complaint is more with dump. Why in the world would you not Have all of the hazmat symbols stored. You can do multiple but all of the stand warning placards aren’t of the unit. Also why do you guys feel the need to have so much unnecessary waste. Listen I get you’re a company and want to make money. But the extra 1.5 to 2 inches of tape waste on every single label that’s created is ridiculous. And no it’s not necessary just to be long enough to come out of the machine. There’s should be an adjustment for how much extra tape you want. I feel like more than half of my tape that I guy gets wasted and thrown away because the machine makes you use 6 inches for one letter. Tons of plastic waste. Way to save the environment dymo. Even using custom tape length is such a pain becuase you have to change it for every single thing you type. Another thing. It does happens quite a bit. Depending on weather as well that the words are unreadable because of a blank line for. The middle of whatever you’re printing. When the letters and number are small as it is you can’t have so many gaps in it Overall it’s a good kit. The machine is pretty easy to use. With some minor adjustments that i wish were made

Does everything it claims, rugged little label maker for a low volt tech like me. Probably one of my favorite tools in my bag. This was great to actually get it in the kit, highly recommend getting it that way rather than just the label maker on its own. Always a must device i recommend to any tech.

Just a quick little review. I bought this same kit (Dymo Rhino 4200) in 2017. I've run quite a bit of footage through it of various types and brands of labels. The rechargeable battery that came with it is still in good shape. It still works a looks like new. I've always kept it in the case it came with. I probably had to recharge the battery less that 10 times over the years. I'm not a daily user

Best labler for the money. Tons of different compatible tape colors/sizes/materials. Not perfect but does the job, nice case too.

Fits the bill of what I need perfectly as an IT on-site tech. Can print multiple ways and use different tapes too. Very easy to use.

I've now purchased one of these for each of our technicians. They come in a durable little case to keep the printer safe and clean. They work great and Dymo offers a huge range of label cartridges to meet all your labelling needs.

It would appear from the enclosed note it was returned to Amazon as defective. It is working just fine for me. Just not sure about the note. I .Ike the qwerty keyboard better than the ABC layout on the other models. I have one of the original models which still works great but wanted the qwerty layout and the rechargeable battery. Great for labeling cables.
