Needed Upgrade
It's a nice, super heavy-duty cover, and it has the drain and fill plugs, which was the reason for the purchase. It makes servicing easy now. FYI, my research led me to believe that unlifted or small lifted trucks (2.5" max) should fill fluid to the bottom fill plug. However, I had to fill to the top of the fill plug because it started making noise and was obviously not filled enough. It took 5.5 quarts of fluid total. I have Bilstein level, 2.1" in the front, no lift or blocks on the back. The cover looks great and is a nice/functional upgrade. I also used the recommended LubeLocker for 9.75" Differential Cover Gasket and (12) 5/16-18X3/4 Stainless Steel Hex Serrated Flange Screws, Flange Bolts 304. Installed on a 2011 F150 Platinum: 100k miles. Old fluid was clean, and the rear end looked perfect inside โno shavings or sludge.

nice addition for your ford 9.75 rear axle
Nice up graded for 9.75 differential cover with this Spicer heavy duty cover came out looking grade and very happy with the turn out. it holds 6 pints a little more than standard steel cover. also went with the ARP 5/16x20 bolts over the bolts that were supplied the bolts that came with the cover were list than grade 5 hardware. the standard bolts that came out of the OEM cover would have worked as well just wanted to add a little more to this project. I didn't used the gasket that was supply I used Permatex ultra black silicone after making sure that both surfaces were completely clean and dry cleaning them off with brake clean including the bolt holes. I've rebuilt many gear axles over the years and never had one leak with the ultra-silicone as long as both surfaces were clean and dry and don't get heavy handed with the silicone a little goes a long way. the only thing i would have like to see is a magnetic drain plug but the plug makes for servicing the rear axle easy .

2024 Install Notes
Installed on a 2024 with no issues. Used original bolts with no problem. If the truck were much older or in a salty area I would go straight for the ARP hardware. I did have 3 stud bolts on mine which canโt be substituted with ARP hardware if you want to keep the wiring mounting points the same. Used a lubelocker gasket. Took 3.7 quarts to fill to the bottom fill hole (stock suspension). Based on my research I would not trust the bolts or the gasket that comes with this cover. I would only use RTV or a lubelocker gasket, for me the lubelocker is worth the $30 to not mess with RTV. I would also avoid impact guns for this one, it is too easy to break a bolt and turn the job into a nightmare. The cover itself is great. It will provide for easy fluid changes for the rest of the life of the truck.

Great cover
Looks awesome, and love the drain plug. Wish I had bought it sooner!

Nice cover. Weak bolts.
Looks nice and feels solid. Much cheaper than the rebadged OEM performance cover. No need to remove the entire cover now to change the diff fluid. Although they looked robust, the supplied bolts stopped snugging up at ~ 25 ft pounds, then went "soft". 1/4 -1/2 turn yielded no increase in torque making me suspect they were about to snap as has been pointed out in other reviews. I removed them and used the factory bolts, instead. The old bolts torqued with no "squishy" behavior to 33 ft lbs. I can also confirm that it will take ~ 4 quarts of differential oil to reach the lower fill plug.

Perfect
Great product, fill and drain plugs make it easy - why ford never installed this on stock product who knows.

GREAT PRODUCT! THIS IS THE EXACT SAME PRODUCT AS THE FORD PERFORMANCE COVER!
I purchased this differential cover to replace the mag-hytec branded one (watch the Gale Banks video about why those covers arent the best!) while I was doing some diff maintenance anyways. This fits any F150 with a 9.75 rear end. Check your truck before you order this because while MOST trucks come with a 9.75 rear end, some come with regular 8.8s and some come with whats called "SUPER 8.8s" . As far as the quality of it? Its great. Its heavier duty than the stock one and makes fluid changes a breeze. The gasket it comes with is okay, but I ended up buying a lube locker brand gasket instead. I have heard of people having issues with the supplied bolts but I did not! Overall this is a nice bit of kit, adds a bit of pop to your trucks rear end and makes fluid changes super easy. Highly recommended you buy this in conjunction with your next fluid change. Oh and as I said this is the EXACT same cover as the Ford Performance branded one (M-4033-F975) just with different sticker on the cover. If you want to save 100 bucks get this one!

2009 F150 - Canโt go wrong with Dana products!
Installed on 2009 F150 w/ 3โ lift kit. Due to reviews, I decided to not use the bolts or gasket this comes with. I decided to go with the lube locker gasket and reuse the stock bolts. Too many reviews on leaking gasket and the bolts not tightening properly, Torqued to 33 lb/ft and tightened the plugs up. No leaks and looks good. Heavier than I thought it would be. Well made and looks good.

Perfect!
Fit on my 2014 F150 HD like a glove. My package arrived without a scratch. I installed it with a lubelocker gasket and reused the factory bolts. Torqed the cover bolts to 15 then 30 foot pounds, fallowed lubelockers toque order. The fill/drain plugs I toqued to 25 foot pounds. No leaks. Went the extra mile and painted the axle and leaf spings. Great spring project. Looks so good! At this price you cant go wrong.

Fits 2002 Ford Expedition - rear
Was not able to find a replacement rear differential cover for a 2002 Ford Expedition to replace the original cover that had rusted through. Local salvage yards said it was too old. While this cover is more than was needed to stop the oil leaks, it fits perfectly. Used provided gasket and bolts without any more leaks. Bolts torqued to 25 ft lbs. Seems to be a good product.
