Use by drawing a line of the product on the thread spool then taking a drop on your finger to spread on the hole on the needle then the shaft. It helps with breakage and shredding especially when doing embroidery work. I also use it on the needle when working with adhesives to reduce build up. It may require often as when attaching adhesive backed Velcro. When using a sticky back stabilizer on embroidery work, this is all that is needed to zip through the project. I’ve been quilting for years & thread problems can mess up hours & hours of work. I have no idea why rubbing several drops into a spool or cone makes thread behave better. I didn’t really believe it when I heard about it, but I tried it. I wasn’t easily convinced, until I realized that some of my problems were with thread I had forgotten to condition, or needed more. This stuff helps older or low quality thread from fraying, linking or breaking as much. It helps fancy, delicate threads flow smoother through the needle. Things don’t get jammed up as often, even if I’m using different weights on the bottom & top. It doesn’t stain or remain oily & soaks in quickly.
