Great tool for any guitarist

The winder was too wide for my machine hands and kept slipping off.The handle that you insert into the winder was a loose fit and kept falling off.The snippers work on the wide gauge wound strings but not on the narrower ones.I'm puzzled by the positive reviews.

Looking at the product, I didn't think the string cutters would be very good. They didn't look very sharp. I was pleasantly surprised, as they were fab! Such a great little gadget. Really helped with my first experience of changing my own strings.

It is what it is

Ugh, just not very well made to tell you the truth. The winder is far too big for the pegs. Why so spacious? I’ve never seen a tuning peg as fat as that. It rattled around and you’ll lose grip. The cutters are fine - they do the job. The pin puller is gash, utter gash. It needs to be thinner in order to get under the pin heads and get some purchase. It’s much too thick - how loose do you think bridge pins are on an acoustic? Not anywhere near loose enough as they have to be to make your pin puller useful. I kinda like playing my guitar when the strings are taut as it enables them to vibrate and thus produce sound, which is why I play the guitar in the first place.

Fine for a guitar with wide headed tuners. No use for a ukulele, but I imagine a bit of wood used as a shim would correct that.
