This switcher allows you to route 8 input sources (Bluray, Cable Boxes, Directv, etc) to 16 output sources (Televisions, Projectors, etc). Please note that the 16 output sources are 8 HDbaseT outputs and 8 mirrored HDMI outputs to a total of 16 displays. Each pair of HDbaseT and HDMI outputs mirror each other. You can control this matrix with iOS or Android App!!! It supports full 4K2K@60Hz resolution, 4K HDR, HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision and HDCP2.2! The package includes 8 HDbaseT PoC Receivers with a 500ft distance range! It comes with remote control, power cable, rack ears, RS232 serial cable, and IR extenders. It has an very advanced web interface with button renaming, CEC control, and much more! The matrix can also accomplish 4K to 1080p downscaling so that your older 1080p TVs can watch 4K content! The simultaneous audio outputs are incredibly important! Lets say you have 8 Apple TVs going to 16 different Televisions. Additionally, you have multi-channel amplifiers powering ceiling speakers for each of the televisions. Apple TVs don't have optical outputs anymore...only HDMI outputs. So with this matrix, you would simply plug the Apple TV HDMI outputs into the 8 HDMI inputs. And then connect the simultaneous audio outputs to your multi-channel amplifier...quick and easy! This setup would be much more difficult with other HDMI matrix units with no optical audio outputs. This Matrix is guaranteed to perform just as well, or better, than any other matrix in the market. Even those that sell for $10,000 or more! Don't be fooled by the AV industry! There is no need to overpay for the latest technologies This type of switch is perfect for media in sports bars, casinos, hotels, custom homes, apartments and night clubs. Review: Great Video Matrix - First, I need to shout out to No Hassle AV tech support! The unit works fine, I was the one with the problem (user error) But they worked through it with me and were always available. I wasn’t sure about texting tech support (you can call but texting is quicker). The good thing about text’s is when they tell you to do these three things it’s already written down for you. Plus, I had to send a couple of pictures so they could see what I saw. Overall I really liked the process. This replaced a 17 year old video matrix that finally bit the dust. The old one was strictly Component Cables only. Fortunately, when we built our house back then, I ran CAT-6 cable to all TV locations. I also ran one HDMI cable to the video projector in the theater. Connecting the TV’s was just a matter of terminating RJ45 jacks and cross connecting to the Matrix. All eight video ports have both HDMI and Ethernet and both can be used at the same time. For example, the theater uses the HDMI port, the TV in the bar next to the theater uses the Ethernet port. The Matrix has eight inputs, we currently use four. TV’s in different rooms can watch any of the four inputs or they can all watch the same. Video/Audio distribution to multiple zones watching the same thing often leads to a slight echo caused by digital delay. I can tell you that is not an issue. Everything is in sync. I downloaded the App and can control any zone and any source from my iPhone. It’s very easy to use and having it on my phone is quite handy. Now lets talk video quality, one word is all I need, superb! I tested back and forth from my Apple TV to the Matrix and directly to a new LG TV. There was no loss of video quality between the direct connection and the output of the Matrix. For the wrap up, I am an Extron Certified Technician. Most of the video and audio distribution systems installed in large sports arena’s use this manufacturer. It amazes me that a product of this price point can deliver the same quality as multi-million dollar A/V systems. I am very please with the product and support. Look no further, this is the one to buy. Review: Matrix Works Great! - The Matrix works great!
