It took just a little playing with to get the sticky part attached to the blind header just right. The only other issue I encountered was the blind manufacturers fault (my new Levor blinds have a plastic connector for the wand), but once I got everything set up, the wands/remote are fabulous. They shut in the evening by themselves; I open them with one button in the morning. The wands are slightly thicker than normal wands, but once they are installed, it is not noticeable- we have 4 windows side by side, so we have 4 installed along one wall. All 4 running at once does make a noticeable noise, but it’s short lived and certainly not loud enough to drown out conversation, tv, etc. The wands and remote are easy to program once you sit down with the instructions and videos. Love this product. We have 2 more windows that will be getting their wands soon. Review: Great DIY automation for existing vertical blinds - I really like this product. It does exactly what I need it to do. It opens up my vertical blinds in the morning, and closes them in the evening every day. If I could change anything, I would like the ability to adjust the times that it opens and closes, but for the most part it does exactly as it should. The only thing I did not like about this product is the battery life. The batteries last for less than three weeks. That’s six double A batteries and they are not cheap!!! So I replaced the batteries with a battery elimination kit (see pictures). Now I absolutely love it! I am now looking to get another one for my other vertical blinds. I can’t believe this is the only DIY vertical blind automation kit that I could find at this price point, and I’ve been looking for some time. All others I found are in the thousands of dollars and are part of a proprietary set of blinds.
