The best coffee i ever had so far.

This is cheaper than buying in the grocery store and is the same quality coffee. Even when Publix has buy one get one free it is not as cheap as this. I know that may vary by where you live.

I recently bought the DeLonghi ecp3420 espresso machine and bought this espresso powder to use with the machine. I think the price point is really good for the amount you are getting (as far as espresso powder/beans go). I've had the machine for about 2 weeks now and I've used it almost every day (mostly 2 shots) and I would say there is still a bit less than half the amount left. I might update this review later to see if it lasts a month but generally I am happy with the amount of product since it is still cheaper than buying coffee from a coffee shop. In terms of taste and flavor, I do think it lacks a strong taste. It tastes a bit more like coffee than espresso and isn't that strong in flavor. The strength in terms of caffeine is probably the same as buying espresso/lattes from a coffee shop but the taste is where it varies. I usually like my espresso to taste strong and bold and this gave a more watered down flavor. I also noticed in other espresso that they tend to have some sort of sweet or nutty taste and this lacks that flavor causing me to add additional sweetness. Overall, for at home espresso, I think this is definitely worth buying. I might try a few other brands just for my own comparison but I will definitely keep this on the list of espresso powders I would definitely rebuy.

i didn’t have huge high hopes for this espresso- but it turned out to be SO GOOD! it’s adequately strong and it has a great taste!

I'm not a HUGE coffee snob, but I did grow up in Seattle - and moved back a few years ago - so I don't often buy the "bargain" beans, and I always saw this brand as closer to that category than "gourmet." Well, I'm glad I gave it a try, because now I can't imagine spending twice - or three times! - as much, given the quality in this can. I did a (VERY unofficial) taste test with three friends, and only one of them chose this as the "value brand" espresso, and only when we did the straight espresso shots, without any sugar. In all other ways (double espresso with a cube of sugar, double shot almond-milk latte, soy milk mocha, and triple shot Americano), they either couldn't tell the difference between this and they expensive brand, or they chose this one as better! (For anyone interested, we were testing/comparing this Lavazza espresso made in a Nespresso machine, using reusable stainless steel pods with the standard Nespresso espresso pods. In terms of price, using this espresso with the reusable pods is about 30% of the cost of the same number of Nespresso pods/shots.)

I'm a born and raised italian. This is a very common brand in Italy and the flavor is the same. Price is high compared to what it costs in Italy but there are obvious import costs and tariff so i can't complain! Love my genuine italian coffee. If this is too bold for your taste... try another lavazza coffee: "crema e gusto" it is sweeter (less bold).

Disappointed, not strong enough for me
