Style Edit Root Touch Up Spray, Dark Brown, 2 oz

This is a wonderful product. i can not be without it.

received this yesterday on a damp, raw, rainy day, just before i was heading to the gym. perfect timing, too because my gray roots needed a touch-up. i've tried numerous other products with varying success - most worked well in terms of coverage but were either sticky, waxy or didn't wear well. i have dark brown hair and i color at home with box color (l'oreal preference in dark brown #4). husband, kids, mortgage, cars, schools etc..doesn't afford me the budget to color professionally at my hair stylists - i'm lucky i can budget time/money to get cut/styled every 3 months! my grays are stubborn and sometimes it's not the root that comes in gray but further up on the hair shaft itself (odd, i know, but true). coloring every 2 - 3 weeks is annoying so i've been looking for a better alternative for a while. due to the timing of receiving this spray, i used it immediately. my hair was dry and i found it very easy to apply. a little on the too dark side (i'd probably have to play around with creating a custom hybrid blend between the light brown and this color) but the coverage was fantastic and it didn't leave any brittle or sticky or waxing or dulling residue on my hair. waited about 10-15 minutes before heading out, it was raining heavily and i had an umbrella but hair got slightly wet during opening/closing of umbrella when outside. walked to gym. 30 mins cardio and then 30 min circuit training. sweated as usual. no running/dripping or problems. yay! only thing i did notice was that when i ran my fingers through my hair or touched my scalp, i did have (dark brown/black) color transfer on to my fingers. and this was before and after the gym visit. slept with it on - no transfer on pillow case, thankfully - but still transferring to my fingers when touched. not sure if i held the spray nozzle too close to my hair or if i should've brushed it through more after waiting the 10-15 mins after application or if there's another reason it didn't fully set but i plan on working that out because i'm very pleased with the way it covers my gray.

I no longer have black hair (I went purple and now I can't cover my roots with anything!) but, when I did, I tried this Style Edit Root Concealer. My roots show up quickly and, when my hair was black, they were glaring. I am about 50% gray these days. I generally use Roux Temporary Haircolor Touch-Up Stick to cover grays and it works great. But this spray is good too. It takes a little getting used to as far as how much to spray and how far away to hold the can but it is pretty simple and does cover even my graying roots well. The area feels damp for a bit but when it dries, it doesn't look or feel hard or noticeable. It blends right into my hair. It is harder to conceal the roots on the side of my head with the spray than with a crayon. I used to spray some on a cosmetics brush and brush it on the "sideburns" to cover them. That worked fine and the color lasted all day. It will come off in rain or water though so be sure to cover your head if you go outside in the rain. I passed the can to my sister who has naturally black hair and she likes it. I think it is a matter of preference between a spray and a stick root concealer. I like the stick a little better and it is cheaper but my sister likes this spray much better. It definitely does a good job covering even really light roots and helping them to blend in with the rest of the hair.

I have probably about 50% gray in my medium to light brown hair (it's highlighted), so it is really obvious when the gray is growing in. Unfortunately, my hair grows super fast. Truth be told, I really need to color my roots every two weeks around my hairline and part. It grows that fast and is that noticeable. Every two weeks is way, way, way too often to go to the salon for a touch up so I needed to find a reasonable solution. I tried a root powder by Jonathan and it was ok. I wasn't crazy about it as it was applied with sort of like a kabuki brush and made my hair color look pretty flat. I also tried a cover stick by Roux. It's ok, too. Not crazy about it, but I didn't hate it. My salon carries this brand, but it's really expensive so I thought I'd check Amazon to see if it's cheaper and it is! Considerably cheaper! Yay! This is now my go-to concealer. I absolutely love it and have told so many people about it. I actually buy two bottles - one in black/dark brown and one in medium/light brown to work with my highlights and naturally dark hair. It's really easy to apply to your hair, simply hold the can about 8 inches away from your hair and spray lightly. The coverage is buildable so the longer you spray the more it covers. Keeps your hand moving while spraying, though! What I really love about it is that it doesn't rub off so you won't find it on your pillowcase or clothes. It stays 100% in place until you wash your hair. Even getting a little rain on it doesn't make it run. Love it!!!

This product definitely works, it will absolutely cover those roots. I’m not that excited about the value for the money because the van is small and you will surely need to buy another one after a handful of uses. I decided to write a review to let people know that this product does not wash out easily. When you apply it it feels like very stiff hairspray. The coverage is adequate but I had to part my hair and spray in several sections around my crown, and though it looks fine forget about running your fingers through your hair. And the brown does transfer to your hands if you do. So I decided I didn’t want it in and washed it out. I’m now on my third shower with two shampoos each to try and did my hair of the product and I can still feel some of the products. So yeah not going to use it again unless I’m really in a bind. There are many other products that do the same without all this residue.

Easy to use and It covers well. Try to avoid getting it on anything but your hair.

Horrible product. Grey coverage is terrible and makes hair texture untouchable.

Excellent product. Does cover grey brilliantly but took a star off for the small size you get. Barely lasts and have since switched to keratherapy which is now my go to product

Before I was using the root touch up stick and it cause a lot of time applying it and can't cover enough my gray hairs. I am so thankful I found this Style Edit on Youtube and start looking where to buy this and so I found it here in Amazon. Thanks to the seller. My expectations are met as to delivery time and satisfaction from the product. It is easy to apply and covers my gray hairs 100%. It even hides the wide gap of my hairline. I am so pleased and will order again.

It covered grey well but did not find different than loreal brand.

This product definitely does the trick in between hair colouring. My only issue is that I have black hair and the spray is on the lighter side. So you can see the colour difference with my roots and the rest of my hair. I also wish that you got more product for the money!!
