Style Edit Root Touch Up Spray, Dark Brown, 2 oz

This is just what I have been searching for. My hairstylist who owns salons recommended this product. She actually shared a small remaining amount remaining in her can. She uses this product at her salons and swears by it. Boy, was she right. I refuse to try any other product. The coverage is terrific, it blends in with the hair and the hair roots and looks just like my hair. Thank you Amazon for selling this product and thank you manufacturer.

I have been using AGE Beautiful for the last few years. That's always been a great product but it tends to leave my hair looking dry. Style didn't do that and gives even better coverage. Highly recommend!

I no longer have black hair (I went purple and now I can't cover my roots with anything!) but, when I did, I tried this Style Edit Root Concealer. My roots show up quickly and, when my hair was black, they were glaring. I am about 50% gray these days. I generally use Roux Temporary Haircolor Touch-Up Stick to cover grays and it works great. But this spray is good too. It takes a little getting used to as far as how much to spray and how far away to hold the can but it is pretty simple and does cover even my graying roots well. The area feels damp for a bit but when it dries, it doesn't look or feel hard or noticeable. It blends right into my hair. It is harder to conceal the roots on the side of my head with the spray than with a crayon. I used to spray some on a cosmetics brush and brush it on the "sideburns" to cover them. That worked fine and the color lasted all day. It will come off in rain or water though so be sure to cover your head if you go outside in the rain. I passed the can to my sister who has naturally black hair and she likes it. I think it is a matter of preference between a spray and a stick root concealer. I like the stick a little better and it is cheaper but my sister likes this spray much better. It definitely does a good job covering even really light roots and helping them to blend in with the rest of the hair.

I have probably about 50% gray in my medium to light brown hair (it's highlighted), so it is really obvious when the gray is growing in. Unfortunately, my hair grows super fast. Truth be told, I really need to color my roots every two weeks around my hairline and part. It grows that fast and is that noticeable. Every two weeks is way, way, way too often to go to the salon for a touch up so I needed to find a reasonable solution. I tried a root powder by Jonathan and it was ok. I wasn't crazy about it as it was applied with sort of like a kabuki brush and made my hair color look pretty flat. I also tried a cover stick by Roux. It's ok, too. Not crazy about it, but I didn't hate it. My salon carries this brand, but it's really expensive so I thought I'd check Amazon to see if it's cheaper and it is! Considerably cheaper! Yay! This is now my go-to concealer. I absolutely love it and have told so many people about it. I actually buy two bottles - one in black/dark brown and one in medium/light brown to work with my highlights and naturally dark hair. It's really easy to apply to your hair, simply hold the can about 8 inches away from your hair and spray lightly. The coverage is buildable so the longer you spray the more it covers. Keeps your hand moving while spraying, though! What I really love about it is that it doesn't rub off so you won't find it on your pillowcase or clothes. It stays 100% in place until you wash your hair. Even getting a little rain on it doesn't make it run. Love it!!!

Pricey but very good!

My hubby and I went to our home away from home for a getaway a week after my daughter got married. I had only a few sparse grays around my ear area so I wasn't worried because I have an appt. set up 2 weeks after for a touch up and re-color. Well around the second day, the grays had become obvious and I couldn't put my hair up in a top bun without feeling insecure about it. A friend and I were talking and she suggested I go to the drugstore and get some root cover. I was like what? Didn't know this stuff existed. I mean I knew they did but I thought they were the the box color type. I googled the top recommended I could buy at the drugstore and bought some. One was a pen that was a powder and the other was a box color gel that you just put on the grays, wait 10 min and rinse off. Well, the powder pen worked for about an hour and the gel color didn't. So I got on my computer and decided to see what amazon offered. The style edit root concealer had the most reviews so I clicked on the dark brown and with my prime, it came in 2 days. (love prime). Anywho when it arrived I went straight to work. I did what one reviewer suggested and dabbed some on a sponge and went to covering I then got impatient then sprayed it on. Waited 3 minutes. Styled my hair and was impressed but still reserved. Now the test. I went out to dinner and had a few drinks with the hubby. Got home several hours later and the color was still there. Got up the next day and it was still there and not on my pillow. Went to the beach put my hair up in a bun and the color stayed put even though I started to sweat. When I got home, I washed my hair and like it says, it washed out with shampoo. I am impressed and then some!!! I am back home now and going on day 3 and my hair appt. is next week. I am liking this product and like other reviewers said, this is a game changer.

This product definitely works, it will absolutely cover those roots. I’m not that excited about the value for the money because the van is small and you will surely need to buy another one after a handful of uses. I decided to write a review to let people know that this product does not wash out easily. When you apply it it feels like very stiff hairspray. The coverage is adequate but I had to part my hair and spray in several sections around my crown, and though it looks fine forget about running your fingers through your hair. And the brown does transfer to your hands if you do. So I decided I didn’t want it in and washed it out. I’m now on my third shower with two shampoos each to try and did my hair of the product and I can still feel some of the products. So yeah not going to use it again unless I’m really in a bind. There are many other products that do the same without all this residue.

I'm a brunette and have regular salon colorings every 6 weeks. Recently, my hair's been growing faster than usual so my roots (which are now grey in places) are showing up sooner than my next appoinment. A friend had been using this and I couldn't even tell she had it in her hair so I was super impressed. She gave me a can for my birthday which went to use a couple weeks later and I LOVED it!! It covers your greys without looking sticky or fake and everyone I showed was very impressed. The only trick is learning how to apply it. The can is only about 5 or 6 inches tall, but it's jam-packed with aerosol so it packs quite a punch.... which means you need to start with an area that is not directly next to your face or you'll end up with what appears to be a blast of spray paint. But the good news is that it wipes off easily with a wet wash cloth or tissue (trust me - I did this when I first got it). I start with the roots at my side part, and while still spraying, I move slowly to the hairline at my temples and widow's peak. After the first spray or two you'll get the hang of it. Let it dry completely before touching it. I apply mine after I'm done styling my hair and then blast the sprayed areas with a hair dryer to speed up the drying process. It really doesn't take that long to dry, but if you're impatient or in a hurry like I usually am, the hair dryer method works great. I usually change into my work clothes after styling my hair and I haven't had any issues w/ this coming off on my clothes. I also haven't had any issues of it rubbing off on my white pillow cases at night so I was pretty impressed. Not sure how it stands up to sweat/humidity so you might want to test it before going out to make sure there isn't any color runoff (if you're using one of the brown shades). All in all this is a GREAT product and I would definitely recommend it for hiding the greys between colorings. I already bought cans for my friends and they were thrilled. :)

Horrible product. Grey coverage is terrible and makes hair texture untouchable.

Before I was using the root touch up stick and it cause a lot of time applying it and can't cover enough my gray hairs. I am so thankful I found this Style Edit on Youtube and start looking where to buy this and so I found it here in Amazon. Thanks to the seller. My expectations are met as to delivery time and satisfaction from the product. It is easy to apply and covers my gray hairs 100%. It even hides the wide gap of my hairline. I am so pleased and will order again.

Excellent product. Does cover grey brilliantly but took a star off for the small size you get. Barely lasts and have since switched to keratherapy which is now my go to product

It covered grey well but did not find different than loreal brand.

This product definitely does the trick in between hair colouring. My only issue is that I have black hair and the spray is on the lighter side. So you can see the colour difference with my roots and the rest of my hair. I also wish that you got more product for the money!!
