Will pack easily for the trip I bought them for. Very soft leather, nice cushioning inside. Sort of slipper-like. The workmanship, as other reviewers noted, does not look like they will last a long time. Where the soles are glued to the footbed looks a little iffy. However, they are perfect for what I want. The sizing is crazy! I wear a 6.5-7. Ordered 38, going by other reviews that they fit small. The 38 was too short, my toes hit the end. Sent them back for a 39 which is a tad roomy in the heel and ankle, but the length is right. Never in my life have I taken a size 39. They fit more like a 7.5 which I will sometimes wear if I want a roomy shoe. I think if you buy these boots you may have to do some experimenting with the size. All that being said, the style is very sleek and cool looking! Would have given them 5 stars if the quality was better. Price was good. Would mention, that the first ones I ordered, I had to pay return shipping, yet the second pair came with "Free returns." However, unless you have narrow feet, expect these to run very small. In fact, they fit like soled socks.Amazon was fast with the exchange order for a larger size, but even with a full-size increase, these fit rather snug and can only be worn with thin trouser socks and only for an hour or two, at most. Do not expect any support; the soles are completely flat to the ground. And oddly, the shoe had small nicks and cuts that one might see from a box cutter. The leather is very soft and with the elastic side gores, they are easy to slip on and off, an all-around good-looking boot (albeit, the pipe stitching was off on the first pair). That being said, take a chance but look them over carefully, wear them across the carpet to check the fit and feel of the shoe and then, decide for yourself.Overall, the exchanged pair, sized-up, works fine for my need (short-term casual boot).I'll update the review if there are any significant changes after a month or two of wear. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Held onto them despite poor reviews by others *by E***S on May 16, 2015* I had been eying these boots for a long time, had them on my wish list, and waited till the price became acceptable. I am a 7.5 but ordered the 39, 8.5's and they fit perfectly. I don't know from where other reviewers are getting their shoes, but mine are really well made. No, I wouldn't go hiking in them, but they are well glued, no unattractive seams, and they look sharp. Super comfortable. The leather is soft so there is no breaking in required. I can see why some likened them to slippers, since they are very form fitting, but I still consider them boots, just form fitting boots. I can wear these with skinny jeans or with a dress and black tights. They have a thin rubber sole that is slightly padded and the shoes hold their shape unlike the cognac pair appear. I got the red boots and they look exactly like the pictures, except that the red is just a bit brighter than it appears online. Still beautiful and a nice addition to my footwear collection.
