After playing Exploding Kittens at a friends house I decided that I needed to have this in my game collection as well. I purchased the original Exploding Kittens game, the Streaking Kittens expansion as well as the Imploding Kittens expansion pack on Amazon a little while ago. The game itself is fabulous but I do have a huge issue with the difference in quality and size for all three items. The original is somewhat pale red in appearance, has no texture and measures approximately 62mmx87mm per each card The first expansion is darker in color, has a grid like texture and measures approximately 63mmx88mm per each card The second expansion is darker shade of red in color, has a grid like texture and measures approximately 63mmx88mm per each card This might seem mediocre to some people but fact is that the size difference makes shuffling quite awkward. The color and texture difference further enables some really attentive players to figure out what the opponent has on hand. I have included some pictures of my cards as well. Hoping to be able to purchase another set of these cards with identical quality, size and appearance to make playing this game more fun. UPDATE: Well, it appears that some exploding kittens versions sold here are cheap knock of versions which results in inconsistent size and color issues as described by me in above. Meanwhile I have gotten The Original edition directly from the manufacturer and here are some pictures of my two versions. Original Box: is darker shade of read and reads ORIGINAL EDITION in the top right corner, has cut outs on the sides for easy opening, has holographic stick in the back next to the barcode, the card tray is flat black in color and deep enough to accommodate the entire original edition AND expansion packs and (as described in above) there is a size and texture difference between knock off and the real deal. Fake Box: Is slightly lighter in color and does NOT have the original edition written in the top right corner, no cut outs on the sides for easy pening, no holographic sticker in the back, very shallow shiny cheap card tray that barely accommodates the original edition cards. Hoping this info helps others! If you too received a knock off at your first try I suggest you DEMAND a refund!

We’ve been playing Exploding Kittens as a family and decided to try both the Imploding Kittens and Zombie Kittens expansions—and both were solid additions. Imploding Kittens adds a bit more chaos with new cards and the Cone of Shame (which definitely got some laughs), while Zombie Kittens changes the game completely by letting players come back from the dead. That twist keeps everyone in the game longer and adds some fun strategy—especially when someone you thought was out comes back to ruin your plan. If you already like the base game, both expansions are worth picking up. They each add something different but keep the same silly, unpredictable fun that makes the game so good in the first place.

Exploding kittens is one of the best card games I ever played, full of fun, poker like emotions and really easy to play. This expansion adds: -20 cards to the game: --A set of interesting new actions ("reverse the turn", "alter the future", "Draw from the bottom" and "targeted attack" --A new "regular" cat (The ones you pair to get another player card) --A new "Imploding" kitten that expands the game so 6 players can play it (previously 5) -A physical real-human-size "Cone of shame" (that a player should wear whenever he/she forgets his/her turn, look a t the attached photo). -A plastic thing to re-use the original exploding kittens box (upside down) and get enough space for the additional cards. This is not a standalone card game, you will need either a "Exploding Kittens Regular Deck" or the "Exploding Kittens NSFW Deck" to play with this expansion. If you loved the original game, this one is a no-brainer! The only thing I don't like is that the cone of shame makes the kit really big so if you want to travel light with the game, you need to leave the cone at home otherwise the set will get bigger and there's no way to easy carry it.

After shipping and tax, the cost is close enough to another deck of Exploding Kittens but I promise that it's worth it. This expansion comes with 20 new cards, a deck holder insert, rules, and a Cone of Shame. The deck holder is a really fantastic edition for those with just a deck of Exploding Kittens, it lets us keep a pile in the box for the original set and another for the new cards. The Cone of Shame is a cute edition but we don't use it. The new cards and their rules however changes the game pretty dramatically. For one, the new Imploding Kitten card can render Defuse cards worthless and I've seen my friends trade it into the graveyard to nab a shuffle card! Cards like Alter the Future lets you play more aggressively when attacked, or Draw from the Bottom making players turn their Exploding Kittens into land mines. There is only one issue, which is fairly minor but noticeable to the dicerning eye is the print quality. The expansion cards backing are considerably darker than the originals, making friends grab dark cards without any hesitation. We thought hand grime and play time may make the colors match over time, but there's still a considerable difference. This could be an issue with the manufacturers as they all use their own color codings. This can be rectified by telling people to start playing in lower light settings, card sleeves, or telling people to stop being so anal. Edit: I'm going to have to dock a point in regards to card quality. Like with the original deck and expansion, the card quality suffers greatly in a short amount of time. Fraying happens fast and the paint will start falling off. Considering using sleeve protectors on these cards.

Honestly nothing special. The only new cards you get are 4x reverse and one imploding kitten. The rest is just more of the old cards.

My 10 yo got the original for Christmas and it instantly became a family favorite. It’s easy enough that everyone incl 7yo can play and the perfect combination of strategi and luck to make it interesting for everyone. This expansion added some awesome new cards and the cone of shame was hilarious for everyone but me, who was the one stuck with it..

Cette extension est géniale! Les nouvelles cartes viennent vraiment compléter le jeu initial (et avec le cône de la honte fourni ce sont des fous rires assurés). Les cartes sont en anglais mais elles ne sont vraiment pas compliquées à comprendre.. Par contre attention le dos des cartes n'est pas le même que le jeu initial en français (donc quand on pioche on sait par avance si ce sera une carte de l'extension ou pas), il faut donc prévoir des protèges cartes opaques d'un côté et transparent de l'autre..
