Great receiver - Not so great instructions! (Price Doubled in 4 Months!!!)
I have been using this for a little over a month now. I am really impressed with what you get for the price! (I paid $59.90) You have many of the same things you would find on a smart TV, like YouTube, games, and other Internet based entertainment. The best thing for me is it is a fta satellite receiver and performs that job very well! There are tons of documents and videos on fta satellite included on a CD that comes with the receiver. The only drawback I have found are the instructions for the receiver itself are very vague and there isn't much help with how to use it! The have detailed manuals included on about everything else dealing with fta satellite, but if you didn't even read the manual for operating the receiver, you wouldn't be missing much. I have mainly learned about how to use the receiver by experimenting. Granted, it isn't rocket science, but there are a few things that would be really nice to know if they would simply explain how to do it. It may take you a few hours of experimenting, but you will eventually figure it out. The receiver itself is great though. It's well worth what you pay for it and does a great job pulling in all those channels on my motorized dish. I will definitely buy another when or if this one fails.** UPDATE **This item has went from $59.90 to $119.90 in 4 months! You can rest assured that they were making good money when it was $59.90, but to double the price in 4 months time is ridiculous! Big time case of greed destroying an otherwise good buy. Consumer reporting agencies do take into account the price of the items they review. It is a factor! Based on them doubling the price in 4 months time and still having a lot of trouble with programming certain things like your favorite list I have lowered my review from 5 stars to 3 stars. It's just an average receiver now. I will look into GEOsat for my next receiver.

Good FTA receiver, so-so media player/IPTV player
1/27/2014 update - revising to five stars for your customer service. My wi-fi issues have been resolved, seller shipped another version of x2 wi-fi adapter with external antenna free of charge. Thank you.Best value for the buck for FTA usage. Shipped with the latest firmware from Nov. 03. Blind scan work well, as good as on OPENBOX S9. There are bugs, however. After blind scan, all the radio channels were shown as ??????????.??????. Deleted 'ALL' radio channels, then 'real' channel names were shown OK after that. Fast channel switching, very nice channel listing format and info display. The box felt warm after 1 hour, but not hot. Worked fine for me in USALS mode, drove the motor from 30W to 125W with no issues and locked on sats correctly. Picture quality: In HD 1080i, the HD quality was slightly worse than S9's on my 46" Aquos. This box appears to slightly over-sharpen HD picture. Tried to reduce sharpness using TV's adjustment, but that didn't help much. It's not too bad though. SD picture quality is also slightly worse than S9, appears a bit too soft. Color reproduction is excellent in both HD and SD modes. Did not test the optical out, but the regular L/R audio works fine, no dropouts, no static, good range. I did not notice any video/audio out of sync issues on either HD or SD channels after 1 hour of viewing. The box did not freeze once on me.Media player is buggy. Does not recognize all the file formats it is advertised as. Won't go into details, but beware. IPTV and WI-FI works, but the dongle needed antenna badly. I had to get USB extention cable and do the WOK antenna mod for the dongle to get any receiption, and the router was only two walls away.Overall, if you're wanting to use it strictly for FTA, it's a good little receiver that does DVB-S2 and USALS fine. Looking forward to new firmware releases.

I love the box
This box is a very good product, easy to setup, picture quality is excellent and woks well no overheating problems. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is because there is no channel listing for some USA satellites. Nevertheless it is one of the best receiver I have ever used. When I say there is no channel listing for some USA satellites, what I really mean is that the name of the station for example CNN may be displayed as PR200, you will not see the channel name. However, the box does have a channel editor and I have seen where other users have used it to create their own list. Hope this clears it up for some of you.

Started off well, but didn't end well.
Started off as an excellent receiver. Worked great for the first two months. However, the display on the front of the box died and when it did all of the functionality of the box died with it. The buttons on the unit no longer worked. The channel couldn't be changed. The menu couldn't be accessed. It became totally useless other than showing the last channel that the box was set to when it died. It's a real shame that i had to come back and change the good review I originally gave it.

Had it for a few weeks and stop working. ...
Had it for a few weeks and stop working. I paid 134.99 plus shipping and now amazon has it for 34.99. Set-up is to much trouble and you have to get a IKS plan to get full channels. Not worth it to me, I will stick to a antenna.
