M18 FUEL D-HANDLE JIG SAW BARE TOOL

Plenty of power for cutting the lumber I used for a equipment shed (2x8, 2x6, 2x4, plywood, etc.). Not as noisy as my electric jig saw and a LOT more handy. The blade locks in place as it should. The battery life meets my requirement (I don't cut wood for a living, but I can't imagine many people use a jig saw for more than 2 -4 hours running). Great tool for my needs.

Milwaukee makes great tools. They are reliable and have proven to be a valuable investment for my DIY tools.

Hands down the best jigsaw I spent money on! Weighs just a bit less that my old corded dewalt. Battery life on it is a bit of a hit or miss using 5.0 batteries mainly because all mine are over 8 years old but as for a 6.0 high output it lasts over 3 hours of constant use. Plus this was $80 cheaper than what Home Depot was selling it for and with the same Milwaukee quality! It handles very nice with different angles to cut at.

One of the few Milwaukee tools I haven't really loved. It works fine but the blade position is in an odd place. It is buried pretty for back and makes it hard to see the line. I am used to using a Bosch 1587AVS, and the difference in visibility is the big draw back.

Why did I wait so long to get a cordless jigsaw?? I don’t use a jigsaw frequently and I was actually in the process of cutting plywood with my corded jigsaw and got so frustrated with the cord binding and getting in the way that quit for the day and I ordered this in the middle of my project. Got it the next day and put it to work immediately. Plenty powerful and far more maneuverable than the corded one. Not sure if I’ll ever use the corded one again, honestly. But it’s a good backup if I ever need it.
