I'm not sure these would hold up well working vigorously outside, but indoors these would be great. I waxed all canvas, so now they're water resistant and more still. I highly recommend doing this for a little more durability.These run very large, so be advised of this. Other than that, this boot is so comfortable it's like wearing slippers. The calves are huge, but with the adjustable Velcro, it's not a problem to cinch them down. These seem to be well made and after a month of daily use (bike commute to work in the rain, job site inspections, and long walks) they are holding up well. I was positively surprised by how well made these boots are; the photo on the Amazon page does not show the higher quality than in real life - the boots look better than in the photo. I need to wear work, safety-toe boots for portions of my work day; then change into another pair of shoes for other work tasks; these boots are perfect for this as they have sturdy Velcro straps (only two) that make quick off or on fast and easy. I also need the true rubber soles for work around electrical equipment - these boots, unlike many others, have real rubber soles. The sizing is accurate, fits about right. I have put arch supports into the boots as they are made flat-footed, but are still comfortable. The price is excellent.
