Trailer Hitch Lock - 5/8" Extra Long Black Pin with One Locking System - 1 Safety Clip, 5 Anti Rattle O-Rings - Tow receivers 2" and 2.5 inch (Class III,IV,V)

My ex girl friend had a horse trailer that I use to have to haul around for her, when we broke up she took the key to the hitch, So ive had that Tail hook on for a number of years now and decided to pick the lock the other day. Once I got the old lock off I decided I wanted to just keep the Tail Hook on my Yukon, besides its a nice deterent for some body that rides your rear to close. So I picked this set of locks up, When they arrived I was checking them out and I have to say that they were very well made and solid and instead of a straight key lock which is easy to pick it is a Barrel Lock which it a lot harder for someone to pick, The internals of the locking mechanism move smoothly and the whole lock is easy to remove and reinstall and to top it off the O rings work like a charm to keep the lock cinched up so it doesn't Rattle. Very well Made Product in my book.

I hauled all my items and furniture with the 1/4 smaller lock from Georgia to Texas last week. I'm definitely satisfied with this product, because I actually had 2 sets of pin and clips because I used a hitch extender. One was the generic ball and clip no lock and the other was this set. The other ball and clip with no lock (Not this one) came out while I was driving and one of my 2 chains to hold the hitch broke aswell. Meanwhile this pin and clip was strong enough to stay intact, locked, and was ultimately un affected, even when it was dragging the whole trailer packed full of items on the ground. However there are a few things that could be better. For the smaller hitch the length is too long and you have to use the stoppers from both sizes to make fit. Also, the cover for the lock part isn't attached at all, so it would definitely fall off. I personally just duck taped it onto the lock pin I can say

This lock is fantastic and very secure. I love the actual lock mechanism, it seems durable and resistant to the weather. Taking off one star because the cotter pin that keeps it from wiggling is not coated, and has already started to rust. It's the only part in the entire kit that shows any signs of weather issues. I should look for a stainless steel replacement pin.

I purchased a bike carrier that can fit my 1.25" hitch and my 2.0" hitch since it has an adapter. The issue was the adapter for the 2.0" hitch either required me to drill out the adapter for the 5/8" pin or purchase a smaller diameter pin that was also long enough to go through the hitch. This set works perfectly for my needs. The smaller pin fit through and I was able to secure my carrier in the hitch AND I could lock it up. This set of long locking pins comes with both 5/8" and 1/2" pins along with one clip and one lock with 2 tubular keys. You can use both pins at the same time using clips but you can only use the only lock on one of them. These pins come with rubber rings that apply some pressure to the hitch to reduce noise. The tubular key will unlock the lock but you can lock it without needing the key. Do not lose the key! I like this item as it worked perfectly for me!

I had to replace my current hitch lock because the receiver on the Tundra is double-walled and my existing lock wasn't wide enough to accommodate it. This package comes with both a 1/2" and 5/8" bar that share a "lock". It also comes with rubber washers to account for any play that you may incur due to the width of the bar. It's good and heavy and seems to seal the lock area well enough to prevent debris from entering. It's only been on for a couple of days, so I cannot comment on the durability or rust resistance, but it feels sturdy and looks good.

I have a Maxxhaul cargo carrier which can separate into a dolly and I didn't like the fact that the pins which keep it on the car mount are easily removable, thus making the cart trivial to steal. So I purchased this set as the 1/2" pin is the perfect size to replace the non-locking pins for my cart. Overall these pins are solid and I am confident they will hold up to the task. In terms of protection, they use a tubular cylinder which while very convienent is not very secure against theft. (tubular locks are easily suspeptable to impressioning, hell the impressioning tools needed to open these locks are available on amazon). Ultimately though, for most situations these are good enough. After all with enough time and dedication a thief can and will be able to remove any lock. (they could just take your hitch off or steal your truck...) On a side note, they also include a car air freshener.

This hitch lock is awesome. I drive a 2012 Tundra Crewmax with a class IV hitch. My reciever is 2.9 inches on outside the box. This lock is long enough and the o-rings snug it up perfectly. I also like the added pin for a secondary fail safe. I also like the ability to lock it by pushing it on and not having to turn a key. Awesome product!! Don't even bother looking at any other ones. Just get this, and you will be glad you did.

I returned them due to one would work but on one when I took off the end to do a test in the house it would not lock back onto either shaft I had my daughter try and my husband it would not lock back on the shaft

Not going to buy again. Both pins were seized after one winter. Was nearly impossible to get off. Had to smash it with a hammer and apply liberal amounts of liquid wrench for over 30mins. Would have cut them if I had more room.
