Is it made in the usa

Don't know and can't see any 'Made in the USA' stampings on the components. All I know is that it's built very well, it's strong, and does the job without any problems. Configuring the components to press in/out is a challenge, but I was able to get it to work as advertised. There is a manual that comes with the kit to help out with the configurations. I would definitely recommend this kit!

What size socket is needed to drive the screw?

It uses a 7/8" socket, and a breaker bar would help you alot too. If you own a shop then this is perfect, if not and just want to service your own car do make sure that the ball joints on your car are pressable (NOT PERMANENTLY PRESSED - you'd just have to replace the whole control arm and not need this kit)
