I’ve used this for one evening and one morning and I think this could be the best purchase I’ve made for myself. I work from home and I have been really struggling to get out of bed during winter, most mornings I don’t get up until quarter to 9. This morning, using the Lumie, I’ve managed to wake up at 5.40 with little struggle. I’ve been energised all day. I’ve been trying to push back my wake time for two months and suddenly this device seems to have fixed this in one evening. I was wide awake ten minutes before the sounds went off.I also love the sunset option. I felt so sleepy last night watching it dim. I really felt like it helped to relax me.The light / brightness is fantastic, especially for the morning. I also love the orange / red hues for the evening.The sound could probably be louder however it’s plenty loud enough for an early rise as it’s so quiet at that time in the morning. Could potentially be too quiet if you are working shifts and needed this for the day? However if you’re sensitive to light and you have blackout blinds, you won’t need the sound at all as the light will naturally wake you up.Ease of use will differ from person to person. I looked up their video guides on YouTube and found it very simple.Overall I really do recommend this. It does do the job to wake me up gently and better than my blaring phone alarm. It has an added feature with gentle selection of noises. Lumie exchanged it no problem.The replacement has been great and a nice gentle way to wake up (light only). I've had 2-3 Lumie products in the past and after my last one broke I tried a cheap alternative, it was no where near as good so came back to Lumie.It arrived just at the end of when my seasonal depression is at its worst so difficult to tell as would have been improving anyway as the days got longer, but it certainly helps my partner wake up for work more easily.When I first got it I used the light independently of the wake up feature and it was nice to have a little sunshine next to me, but thankfully recently the outdoor sunlight has been doi5the trick for me so not needed to use, but I will when it's a grey dull day as noticed it improves my mood, not necessarily my energy.The only minor annoyance is that you have to set it every night rather than being a recurrent alarm that you can set and forget about.It would be great if there was a feature for 2 alarm times (my partner gets up at 6am I get up later on), so it would wake him up then I can go back to sleep and wake a little later with it. Not sure if you are reading this lumie and would consider a more personalised wake up schedule where you could set the time for the week and have multiple in a day, so many things have apps now to do this sort of thing (maybe another model has this I just went for the basic).
