Toast seems to come out much more even in colour than my old Bosch toaster. The ability to be able to raise the toast without turning it off (to allow checking of colour) is a rather useful feature. The other thing that I like is that the toaster is completely smooth metal on top, other toasters I have used have had odd inset slots around the top that act as crumb magnets and end up looking awful. I bought the shiny polished version which looks great and it is easy to keep clean too with a quick wipe down. It toasts evenly and quickly and the brown and lift function is great. I like the minimalist look and every works. The only little niggle was that the browning controls are black and it is difficult to see what setting they are on, but easily remedied with some white paint or nail varnish to indicate the setting. This should be done by Russell Hobbs as black on black may look cool but is not functional!
