Awesome adventure novel from the 1800s
One of the best adventure novels I have read. King Solomon's Mines written in 1885, tells the story of Allan Quartermain, the great African adventurer as he goes on a search in an unexplored region of Africa with a group of adventurers for the missing brother of Sir Henry. It is the origin of all lost world novels and still one of the best. You can say Indiana Jones was heavily inspired from Alan Quartermain. Loved it. About coming over to the quality of this Wilco edition: Its a hardcover bounded in thin synthetic leather. The pages are cream coloured and printing is good and without errors. The finishing is rough and not of the best quality and sometime one or two pages has no white space due to misaligned binding. It has annotations in between for many words which was very helpful as this was written a century ago and some words may be unfamiliar to the general reader unfamiliar.

Great read.
It is good though, with some illustrations filling half pages, but haven't seen other penguin version. Paid 257โน for this. Unabridged, of course. Content awesome!

King Solomon's Mines (Puffin Classics)
There was a reference about this book in another thriller and I thought what the heck? let me buy this book. Unfortunately it is not that good or terrific and after reading the book, I was a bit disappointed but it is OK. Radhakrishnan.

Fascinating Tale
A highly absorbing tale of adventure; of tenacity; of friendship; of courage; of fierce battles lost and won; and tribal fidelity. Told with wit and humour.
