How did I ever try to do large remodeling projects without a tool like this? This has been extremely helpful in containing sawdust and drywall as I’m working on my fixer upper, even with multiple pets. It’s given me a lot of peace of mind knowing that dust is properly contained in a small work space.

I do quite a bit of remodeling and this has come in really handy. It’s much easier to section off work areas keeping dust and debris from spreading. The telescoping poles are easy to set up and adjust and all components are sturdy. The zippers and clamps make creating a temporary work barrier quick and convenient. It limits the mess and saves time not having to do the traditional temp setup. I really like that it can be reused. When the project is finished everything packs neatly into the storage bag so it’s easy to keep on hand for the next job. For the quality, convenience and amount of use I’ve already gotten out of it, this is a great value and definitely worth having on hand if you do a lot of DIY or remodeling work.

This dust barrier door kit is an excellent, comprehensive system that isolates a workspace. It includes thick plastic sheeting, long adhesive-backed zippers, easily removable painter's tape, and a specialized sheeting cutter to slice the opening open smoothly without catching. I really wanted this to work out for me. And it could have, because while the zipper is of decent quality, and the adhesive on the back of it is acceptably tacky, the accompanying plastic is just too thin to be useful. It is maybe thicker than kitchen wrap, but not by a lot. For one, if you mess up when sticking it in place, there' s no way to reposition it without tearing the film. So you have to either bunch it up or otherwise work around the problem, causing the zipper to be off-center, which will stretch the film, and not take very long to fail. Ultimately I had to just leave the plastic covering the adhesive strip and used a sewing machine to sew canvas sheets in place of the plastic, which is more durable but also not as good of a barrier against dust as plastic would have been. Good zipper, but need about 2mm more thickness in the plastic that comes with it

I used these zippers during a house rehab project and they really helped keep the dust contained. The adhesive on the back is strong enough to stick firmly to plastic sheeting without peeling away, even after several days of use. I was happy to see that the zipper itself is made of metal rather than cheap plastic, so it didn't snag or break when I was rushing through the door. The double-sided feature is probably the best part. Being able to unzip the barrier from both the inside and the outside makes a huge difference when you have your hands full of tools or materials. It’s a simple setup, you just peel it, stick it, and cut the plastic down the middle. I’d definitely use these again for my next renovation project.

No installation instructions. The plastic was one large sheet had to cut. Came with two rolls of double sided tape said that each roll was 2in x 33ft my rolls were only 29ft I was about 4ft short to install two 32 inch doors installing tape across the top and down each side. a little difficult to install alone much easier with two people.

The set I received did not include the poles, just the zippered tape and plastic drop cloth. If you don’t already have the poles, you will need them as this is a refill kit not a full kit. There is enough supplies for one or two projects depending on the size room you need to protect. I think the zippered version is easier to use than the standard tape. The adhesive is effective and easy to remove when finished. Overall this is a good deal. It’s definitely an upgrade from other versions.
