SD to USB transfers or a simple DIY USB Stick
Problem: PCs these days don't usually have MicroSD readers and I needed one because I own phones and tablets. When I want to transfer gigs of pictures/videos to my PC this card reader does that easily and quickly. Speed: I bought this because its USB 3.0 which means I should get 500MB/s. When used with a C10 or U1 MicroSD that only does 100MB/s the card itself is the bottleneck. Even a U3 is 300MB/s peak transfer and a high quality V## MicroSD are the exact same UHS2 300MB/s speeds and means this device is somewhat futureproof for a while. Capacity: ZERO! On the user. I bought a 256GB U3 MicroSD card for less than 20$ to leave in it. Intended use vs actual use: Wanted it so I could transfer files easily but that's not that often. Practical use, I installed CallOfDuty and its 200+GB on the card and run my game off the chip now. I feel like it loads MW3 faster and is a bit smoother. Less than 30$ I kinda unintentionally got a setup that helped my gaming by freeing up space and improving my performance while still allowing me to transfer files from portable devices when I need to. Perfect for what it does and I'd buy another one if I ever need to. Parts are durable and its compact so I doubt it will break since there's nothing really to break. It's nice solid hardware and a great value for the price.

Actually achieves advertised speeds of up to 170MB/s for UHS-1 cards!!
So excited this worked! I was worried it wasn't going to. Just make sure you're using a USB 3.0 port (usually will be blue on the inside). A little concerning, and I will update my review if it causes any issues, but the reader got quite warm during an only 13.4GB upload to my computer. Edit: After performing a much larger upload of 134GB, the performance did degrade as the card reader warmed up. However, it would return to ~170Mb/s after cooling down a bit.

Perfect USB microSD Reader for Tesla Model S.
I bought the SanDisk MobileMate USB 3.0 microSD Card Reader to use with a 256GB SanDisk High Endurance microSD card in my Tesla Model S — and it works perfectly! The Tesla instantly recognizes the reader when it's plugged into the front USB port, and both Dashcam and Sentry Mode start recording automatically. No setup hassle, no errors — just simple plug-and-play. The build quality is solid, and transfer speeds are excellent when moving video files to a computer. It’s compact enough to fit neatly in the center console without getting in the way, and it doesn’t overheat even after hours of continuous use. If you're setting up Dashcam or Sentry Mode on your Tesla and prefer using a microSD card setup (which is more reliable than USB flash drives), this reader is exactly what you need. Super reliable, fast, and affordable. Highly recommended!

Doesn’t Work with Marantz M1
For some bizarre reason, it does not fit into the USB-A slot in the back of my Marantz M1 streaming amplifier. A different SD & micro SD reader that I own works fine in that slot, so I know it’s not a problem with the amp. I wanted a lower profile reader that wouldn’t stick out so far like the one I already had, which has both, USB-C and USB-A connectors on both ends, and reads both, SD and MicroSD cards, so it’s very long. This reader is beautifully small and low profile, but the connector refused to fit into the port on the amp. I have decided to keep it so I can use it for reading MicroSD cards the rest of the time and not have to pull my current reader from my amp just for that purpose, but the lack of USB-C connector will be a hassle in that case.

Works great. Good quality. Keep in car with dash cam.
Works great with the MicroSD card. I keep this in my car for quick use with my dash cam MicroSD card in case I ever need to quickly provide evidence to a police officer of an incident recorded with my dash cam.

Data Dynamo
I love how easy it is to use—just plug it into my laptop or desktop and insert the microSD card, and voila! My files transfer quickly without any lag, saving me precious time during busy workdays or while editing my latest photography project. The durable design ensures it withstands frequent use, making it a reliable tool in my tech arsenal. The dual-slot feature is fantastic, allowing me to use both SD and microSD cards simultaneously, which is perfect for multitasking. Plus, the compact size makes it easy to carry around in my bag, ensuring I always have it on hand for any data transfer needs. However, the reader can sometimes feel a bit flimsy, especially when inserting and removing the cards repeatedly, but it hasn’t caused any issues so far. Additionally, while it’s compatible with a wide range of devices, ensuring a proper connection might require a quick restart on some older systems. Overall, the SanDisk MobileMate USB 3.0 microSD Card Reader is a must-have for anyone dealing with microSD cards regularly. It’s fast, reliable, and incredibly convenient, making data transfers seamless and efficient. A solid 5-star rating for its speed and versatility, with a tiny star lost to its occasional flimsiness.

Unreliable
This device may as well be dead on arrival. I couldn't figure out why my computer did not recognize that I had it plugged in. You have to push it in so tightly you feel like you are going to break the card or something else. It only has erratic acceptance of the card and so sometimes your computer will recognize you have it plugged in and sometimes it won't. Not reliable at all. Sorry guys.

Un producto increíble al lado de las tarjetas micro SD, mucho más práctico y confiable sin batallar en que se detecte.

Loving this tiny little USB 3 SanDisk Micro SD card reader. Built well & seems as tough as can be expected while remaining so small. I have no clue regards a good few negative reviews that have been left for this item... I'm thinking that the negative reviews users should have bought a far bigger Reader as moaning about its size as a bad point defeats the purpose of the item as it's obviously supposed to be small which surprise surprise it is. Other negative feedback comments claimed cards were hard to get back out once inserted & again it's size related as in of course it's going to be figity & a little effort is required to get a tiny micro sd back out once inserted into this tiny low profile reader. The thing does exactly what it's designed to do & that's read / write to Micro SD cards at full USB 3 speeds. It's exactly what I wanted as I am using it in my Car's USB HiF input loaded up with Flac files & needed something very small & low profile that I could plug in, use & basically forget about it knowing it won't get in the way by being big & sticking out etc... It reads & writes as quickly as full sized SD card USB 3 readers do but since it is so small if you're needing a reader for heavy use then I suggest you buy a larger sized 1. Summing up = Great Little USB 3 Micro SD Card reader & Ideal for users requiring something with a Low profile or / & require it for a tight space ;) Highly Recommended :)

I had bought this to be used with my Sandisk pro Extreme V30 card which I use for recording high res videos. This card reader does not lose connection at any time it is plugged in and maintains a consistent 160 MB/s transfer rate. So it transfers 30 GB of footage in around 4 minutes or less. So, I am satisfied with this reader. Some others I had bought before with multiple slots kept losing connection and disrupting transfer every few minutes. This one has never once failed and I have done more than 300 GB of transfers and rewrites in just the short time I have owned this.
