Another good story...though story content of the last 100 pages are not as good as the rest of 550 pages, it makes me encaged to read the story. 3/4 of the story is well-told and beautifully narrated...Delivery is on time...product is good...

Kannadasan plays his cards well with this novel. There's no story line or a plot as dynamic as Ponniyin selvan. Viewed in the light that Ponniyin Selvan did not get a Sahitya Akademi I have come to an opinion that a Sahitya Akademi novel need not necessarily be a classic straightaway. With regards to this novel depending on the audience, and most importantly depending on it being the reader's BPS or APS (before/after ponniyin selvan) it could appeal differently to different people. Surely I could enjoy and appreciate the poetic skills of Kaviyarasu, his description of the mental battles that carry a definite shadow of his own self, the staunch belief in Divinity etc. It is surely worth a buy but I don't think anyone would lose sleep over not finishing the book in a continuous sitting.

The author maintained a good pace and kept the reader engaged throughout

Quality is nice. But the story is not that great apart from occasional Kannadasan’s poetic touch.

I love the way the story was woven by Kaviyarasu Kannadhasan.
