Perfekter Rucksack, er saß auf Anhieb super und bietet ausreichend Platz für eine mehrwöchige Hüttentour. Schön leicht und elastische Seitentaschen. Kann ihn uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

It’s perfect for day hikes, the only downside is that it doesn’t have an easy access to water bottles

I use the Osprey Sportlite 30L for weekend hikes and day trips, and it’s quickly become my go‑to pack. On my first trip up Starved Rock with friends, it felt so light I forgot I was even wearing it yet it still held my rain jacket, snacks, and extra water with room to spare. The AirScape back panel kept airflow going on that unexpectedly warm afternoon, and I didn’t come home with a soaked back like I usually do. I’ve also used this pack on a city‑to‑trail weekend in Milwaukee where I swapped between walking around town and hitting the Oak Leaf Trail the simple organization made that transition so easy. The main compartment is spacious, the front pocket is great for quick-access items, and the stretch side pockets fit water bottles perfectly. The hipbelt pockets are a nice bonus for snacks or my phone. Everything has its place without feeling cluttered, which makes hitting the trail so much easier. This isn’t a big expedition pack, and I don’t try to treat it like one, but for day hikes, quick overnight trips, or outdoor weekends with friends, it’s ideal. It fits well, looks great, and genuinely feels comfortable mile after mile. If you want a lightweight, practical pack that performs every time you head out, I’d highly recommend it.

I was comparing this pack to the slightly larger Hikelite 32, which is designed more for hiking, whereas this model is supposed to be for hiking but also used as a general purpose backpack. They’re actually incredibly similar, almost to the point I wonder why they both exist. The biggest difference seems to be the frame of the pack, with this bag having a rigid sheet for structure while the Hikelite has a wire frame. In actual use I found them both to be comfortable to wear and think the difference is pretty minimal. I do like that Osprey didn’t skimp on the waist belt with the less expensive Sportlite; it’s padded, has both a zipper pocket and stretchy mesh pocket and it effectively transfers the load to the hips when everything is adjusted properly. The pack checks just about all of the boxes you’d expect in a hiking bag, there’s plenty of attachment points for hiking poles, lights or carabiners, the compression straps work well, it has large water bottle pockets that had no problem fitting my 24oz HydroFlask and an easy to route center access hydration tube opening. Materials and build quality are about what you’d expect from Osprey, it’s put together well with lightweight but unremarkable fabrics. They do seem durable and like they’ll hold up well though, so overall I don’t have complaints with it. I’m kind of torn between this pack and the Hikelite, I like the style on the Sportlite while the frame on the Hikelite is slightly more supportive. I think they’re both solid packs although I’m not sold on this being a general purpose pack, it’s a bit too large and lacks dedicated tech compartments. I do think it’s a good value for an outdoor pack though and probably worth checking out first before spending more on the Hikelite series.
