HAMBURGER HELPER... ALWAYS TASTY, HOT, AND FULFILLING!
This HAMBURGER HELPER CHILI MAC (along with the BEEF NOODLE) are likely my favorites of all the HAMBURGER HELPER varieties. I prefer more of a true "chili" flavor and texture, thus I simply zjoosh it up, adding kidney beans, pinto beans, a can of crushed tomatoes, some extra par cooked macaroni noodles, and extra "chili" flavoring. (I also reduce the amount of ground beef to only 1/3 lb to make it more economical. No one is the wiser.) It makes enough for several meals for myself, plus a bowl to send to my son (we are the only two in the family who like chili). Just serve with a few slices of bread and some salad, and you've got a complete meal. Hamburger Helper has been a staple in our kitchen since I was a teenager. It couldn't be easier to prepare. In fact, it's soooo easy that my hubby has become quite adept at making the BEEF NOODLE, CHEESY MAC, and LASAGNA versions, albeit no REAL "zjooshing" - just a few extra noodles should the mood strike him - proudly providing a meal that's NEVER disappointing. ALWAYS tasty, hot, and fulfilling.
