Actually giving this 5 stars. Only thing I would change is I wish it were thicker. The thickness is a bit thin. But honestly I’d recommend everyone gets a pack of these, and puts them on their smartphone wires. Fits multiple sizes - like even thicker wires it can actually wrap around easily. As for how they look I think they’re actually kinda just okay. They’re not ugly in my opinion, but they definitely could have way better colors and patterns than what’s sold.. Functionality I’d say great for. They do what they’re supposed to. And! — they can also be cut in any place and still work perfectly and also keep their shape. (If the wire you’re putting it on is shorter than it, you can just cut it at the length you need. Or, you can mix patterns of these, on a wire) ** NOTE: It’s frustrating trying to get them on, for a couple minutes. There’s a learning curve. You have to like wrap it around your wires. Once you figure out how to properly do it, it’s very easy to do.

Bought this 5 years ago, put it on an already broken apple charger and that charger is still working today. It really does protect the cables/keep them straight very well, while not adding too much more bulk to your wire. I now use them on all my important wires that break easily/look cheap. They're easy to use and easy to customize. Just a bit time consuming but once on there it does not come off/lasts. I only removed one star because you really have double wrap them for full protection. I wish they were thicker, they're a little weak on their own. I have now bought longer sizes to make this process easier.

I got these because our kitten is at the teenage stage where she chews on things if she thinks we're ignoring her. She especially enjoys chewing on headphone cords. I had to toss two pairs of really nice headphones due to her typical mammalian child protest of either hitting the parent or destroying something they see the parent showing more attention to than their precious little selves. It takes a bit of time to put these on your cords, but it is well worth the effort. She no longer likes the mouth feel of the cord. If she really tried, she might could still slide her tiny little murder teeth in between the coils, but as stated before, she doesn't like the way it feels in her mouth. Also, covers keep my cord from becoming a tangle mess. Now, when she thinks I'm ignoring her she sits and stares at me with a very judgmental look befitting the late Queen of England looking at a savage American walking in front of her.

If you have tons of time and dexterity, this is a great product. If you are in any sort of time crunch or if you have any form of carpal tunnel or anything similar, this is not for you. I sat down to wrap my phone cord at 7:45 and at 8:20, just finished. Now it looks cute, looks durable and I think it will protect my cord from my cats chewing, it was flexible and easy to work with but it took FOREVER and my hands are aching. My cord is 6.5 ft and there's still about a foot of unwrapped cord but I think it'll do the job

These cable protectors are the perfect way to keep my charging cables safe! My cat has a tendency to chew on cables for attention, and he can quickly bite through an iPhone charger or laptop charger. Replacing them gets expensive, so I was willing to spend $7 on these things. Other reviewers mentioned the protectors coming in a loop that they had to cut; mine came as separate strands with two free ends. It took me about 15 minutes per protector to wrap a cord, and I used 2 2/3 protectors on a single 2m Apple charging cable (so about 40 mins of work for one cable). Once you get the hang of how to wrap it, it's pretty easy and doesn't take too long. I'd recommend queuing up a few episodes and wrapping while you watch. (It makes for a pretty good quarantine activity too!) My cat tried to bite the cable several times while I was wrapping, but the protector is hard enough that he couldn't do any damage at all! If you're careful about wrapping your wires tight enough, you shouldn't have any problems with cats biting through, even those with stronger jaw and sharper teeth like mine. The pack came with a bonus cable protector end holder, but I don't seem to need it as the protectors don't slip at all. My only criticism concerns the color choices: I'd prefer simple black or white, but the pastels truly aren't too ostentatious.

I read these took time to wrap and some even called them tedious (one said tedious but satisfying). Tedious, yes. Satisfying? Not for me. The package arrived last night, and since my two my 11 week old kittens are brimming with curiosity and possibly even teething, I thought I better install them right away. I wrapped two cords last night, one to my heated face mask. The other was my iPad charger. It took forever, but I watched Netflix, played with the kittens and wrapped. When I was done, I plugged the iPad in and went to get a glass of water. As I settled in to sleep, I noticed the iPad wasn’t charging. I unplugged the cord and plugged it back. I happened to wake up in the middle of the night. I used the iPad as a clock to see what time it was. Again, it wasn’t charging. I unplugged it and plugged it in again. I woke up this morning to the battery 27% charged and no longer charging. Great! My cord is protected from my curious kittens. But after what felt like hours of wrapping, it no longer works. (It was working before it was wrapped.). Now, I have to buy a new cord. I had purchased this to avoid this very scenario. They are colorful though.

I used these to secure the bag clip on my plushie keychain. Works great and secures the bag clip so it doesn’t open and drop my plushie. It does take some patience to wrap it around the clip but totally worth it, because of the peace of mind of not losing your plushie.

Stops my bird wrecking cables

I’m quite pleased with this product. Does what it’s designed to do. It keeps your charging cords from breaking/fraying at the connector ends where they bend. A little challenging getting the wrapping started but once you get started it’s quite easy. You don’t have to wrap the whole cord just about 4-5 inches from the connector. Unless you have a cat or dog that likes to chew cords then you might consider doing the whole cord.
