The espresso machine exceeded all expectations. It is solid, sleek, easy to use and makes the most amazing espresso. The steamer quickly heats up milk for cappuccino or lattes. To start the day with better than any coffee shop flat whites is such a treat!

We’ve been really impressed with the Casabrews CM5418. My wife knows what good espresso tastes like, and she loves it. For the price, it’s a well‑built, capable little machine that consistently pulls good shots and has plenty of steam power once it’s up to temperature. The build quality feels better than most machines in this range, and it’s been easy to use day‑to‑day. The one thing new users should know is that there’s no indicator light to show when the machine is actually ready to brew or steam. The buttons light up to show the mode you’ve selected, but they don’t tell you when the boiler has reached the right temperature. You have to wait a minute or listen for a tiny internal click. Once you understand that, the machine performs very well. Overall, it’s a strong value that makes excellent espresso. I’d buy it again.

Ohh man it’s been a frustrating love/hate relationship from day 1 and came really close to returning/exchanging for something ‘better’! HOWEVER over time I realized my frustrations had more to do with my lack of experience than the machine itself. My biggest struggle was getting my creamer/milk to steam properly into ‘micro foam’. At first I was CERTAIN it was bc the steam wand wasn’t powerful enough to get the job done(NO WAY it was due to USER ERROR! 🙄) so I ended up stop using it to froth and used my handheld frother instead and only used the wand to heat the milk/creamer. But I kept seeing videos of other ppl demonstrating/reviewing this machine and similar ones without any problems whatsoever ..it became evident I was the problem not the machine! At that point I was determined to keep trying until I figured it out for myself, which I did! 🎉 This is my very first espresso machine and honestly my first time ever having espresso bc I’ve always been a regular coffee drinker(pod in my keurig, throw some creamer in it and out the door!) So I was completely unaware just how sophisticated and technical espresso making can be and everything you need to know on how to make it properly! So if you’re like me then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND doing plenty of research before you make a decision on which machine and what accessories to buy with it! Bc a machine like this one will REQUIRE you to buy accessories(grinder, decent tamper, wdt tool, scale, bottomless portafilter, tamping mat, funnel and filters/screen) that cost just as much or more than the machine did! Not all accessories are 100% necessary but definitely the first 4 imo! Overall I’m pretty happy with this machine, it just took a little time and patience to figure out how to use the steam wand and only once had an issue getting it to start, which seems to be a common occurrence, when the water gets too low the water pump sometimes stops registering even after you fill it back up. But it’s a quick fix by picking up the water tank and/or by turning the steam wand on. Also there’s a video on here showing you how to do it.

Bought this coffeemaker March 2025, and after a year had a water leaking issue. Wrote the company, and they sent me a brand new machine!!! TREMENDOUS Customer Service, not to mention the great coffee it makes. Highly recommended.
