There seem to be fewer mosquitos too. In 2018, I set up the 2-acre bug zapper on the porch of a shed. The shed had a small overhanging roof. I attached it to a light sensor that turned on the light at dusk and turned it off at dawn. It ran every night from June 2018 to Fall 2023, surviving a hurricane, many heavy Florida thunderstorms, and the daily heat & humidity of Florida. There are not as many bugs in the winter, so I did not replace it until May. This time I choose the smaller 1-acre zapper. When I plugged it in, it didn't work. I finally figured out that the dusk/dawn sensor was broken. I replaced that and found out that the 2-acre zapper was also still working. So now both are up and running.
