Hamilton Beach Stay or Go Extra Large 10 Quart Portable Slow Cooker

I love this crockpot so freaking much! I knew I wanted one with a clip on lid so I can travel with it. But I never expected I would love this so much. I'm obsessed with using my crockpot for everything. (I have more spoons in the morning than in the afternoon, so cooking in the crockpot works for me!) I wanted to make ribs. I have beef ribs and they didn't fit in my older normal sized pot. So I pulled out my big baby and not only did the ribs fit, but I had room for potatoes AND onions! Like are you kidding me!? Mother-in-laws eat your heart out! Be the queen of the family gathering! No mess on the drive, plenty enough for everyone, and so easy. Love love love

Very large crock pot it is deeper than most same size opening as standard large crock pot. I bought it as a second hand (I guess it was returned so I saved money. Heats well. I like the locking lid and rubber seal around the lid. It made carrying it to a party super convenient. My favorite crockpot I have ever had.The outside is made of a lighter weight metal and it could dent easily it seems if not careful.

I have a smaller Hamilton Beach slow cooker for 10 years It still works great! I got the 10 quart delivered today because I'm making a very big batch of seafood stew. I love the fact that the handles clamp on to the lid for an extra seal. The lid fits perfect and this was easy to use right out of the box. I've been taste testing my stew and it's excellent, I'm cooking it on high and it should be done this afternoon. There are three temperatures, low, high and warm. It heated up quickly for me.

I’m very happy with this product overall. It arrived as expected, was well packaged, and was easy to use right out of the box. The quality feels good, and it performs as described. I especially like how convenient and practical it is for everyday use. So far, it has met my expectations and seems like a good value for the price. I would definitely consider purchasing it again and would recommend it to others looking for a reliable product.

1/13/2020 I *love* this crockpot! My old crockpot (which I think is a 6 quart) worked great but was just a liiitle too small to double my recipes, so I decided to get a larger one. I upped to this 10 quart pot (not really realizing the size increase I was making) and when I opened it, I thought, "Oh, I have to return this. This is just way too big and not really necessary and will take up too much cabinet space." I'm so glad that I didn't. It *is* pretty massive (see pics attached), but I'm finding that being able to double or even triple recipes saves me a lot of cooking time. Plus, for Christmas (and on other occasions) I have cooked an entire (10 pound maybe?) ham in the crockpot, thus leaving my oven free for cooking sides. (Plus, the ham turned out incredibly moist and was SO simple!) In terms of cabinet space, since most of the size increase is taller rather than wider, it doesn't really take up that much more space. I just flip the lid upside down inside the pot and it still fits on the same shelf where I had the old one. I *really* like the locking lid. I've already had one soup explosion in the trunk of my car with my old crockpot when we had to hit the brakes suddenly, so I reeeally like that I don't have to worry about that when transporting meals in it. The only thing I don't like is that there is no way of setting it for 8 (or 4) hours and having it go automatically to warm when the time is up. But as long as I am home, it's not that big of a deal to swap it to warm. Also, FYI - there is no light or anything that comes on when you turn it on, but it *is* heating up. If you have doubts, just touch the outside of the pot after a minute or two and you will feel it warming up. The only other thing I would warn you about is that this definitely won't fit in your dishwasher, but I always wash my crockpot by hand anyway. It is heavy though, so don't give this to anyone frail. Very, VERY satisfied with this purchase and I would buy it again. ******************************** 1/2/2021 After having this a year, I am downgrading my review from 5 to 4. I still *love* the size of this crockpot and would buy again if there weren't an alternative with the options below. But I am really missing: - the light on the front so you can see if it's on. Today I put my contents in it, turned the dial to low and walked away. A few minutes later, I noticed the cord wasn't plugged in and it hadn't started cooking. If I hadn't noticed until dinner time, we'd have had no supper. :-( I wish the side handles (of the inner pot, not the outside metal container) were longer. When I need to take the pot out of holder with hot pads, the weight of that huge pot & food is essentially all on just my fingertips. I'm always afraid it's going to slip out of my hands. I do still miss the ability to select a set number of hours and then have it automatically switch to warm.

Works perfectly. I can make four days of soups or stews in one go. The crock fits in the dishwasher without problem. Very handy.

This was a used (or at least not new) item but no problems with condition or cleanliness, just the carton was kinda shredded. The large size was just perfect for my intended use, preparing foods for pressure canning. The unit runs on the hot side, as do all the newer slow cookers, but just fine for me and even on 'keep warm' bubbled enough to leave me with no worries when pressure canning 18 pints of chili. Well done, would buy again (except I don't need two). Two thumbs up.
