I wanted a new pair, and based on the price and the reviews, I decided to give the Jolly Llama sticks a try. I am blown away by the quality of the sticks. The weight is considerably heavier than what I was used to, and it is taking a little bit of work to train back to where I was with my Lunastix, but I am becoming more fond of the weight each time I play them. There is a line in the center of the stick indicating the center-of-gravity for it. This makes stalling and carries much easier to do. The control sticks are long and sturdy feeling. Spinning them is fairly easy (and I'm terrible at spinning them). My 15-year old wanted to learn how to use them, so I went through the basic tutorial, and within about 10 minutes he was standing up tossing the stick back and forth. These are great for every level of play.The only thing that I would change is there is no carrier with these sticks. My Lunastix had a velcro wrap with a plastic clip that made attaching it to my backpack during camping trips very easy. I very much miss this feature.
