Basil Rear Milkbottle Bike Basket w/Nylon Grip Handle

Bought as a Christmas present for my brother. I have a similar, cheaper one (no longer in stock on Amazon), and find them really good for shopping by bike. I've managed to find cheaper ones before now, but having tried twice and failed, to get ones from continental Europe just as France stopped the lorries coming over I found this company had this one is stock. This one is well constructed, and good value for money. It was delivered ahead of time. It doesn't have a fine mesh covering, so you'll want to avoid putting small items in it. It fits like a pannier, on the rear rack, are the hooks are wide enough to cope with a range of sizes of racks.For some reason rear side baskets seem to be the least common of ones available, though I prefer them.In short then, good item if you shop regularly on a bike, I prefer them to panniers, easier to pack, and easier to avoid squashing things.

Love these! They make it possible to carry loads of shopping back without unbalancing my bike. They do rattle a bit when riding over bumps, but nothing has come out. It's important to place them as far back as possible on the back rack otherwise your heel may come into contact with the basket as you pedal. Easy to take on and off the bike and I've found the handles useful. They stack inside each other in the garage when not in use. Thanks to these I can now pop to the shops and bring back enough shopping for a family of 6 for a couple of days which means I'm using the car far less. Brilliant!

LOVE MY MILK BOTTLE BIKE BASKETOkay. It did not fit over my fat handle bars but it fits over the rear to the side. I intend to get another for balance to the other side.Holds quite a bit.Easy to take off and on.Just use securing leads if the basket is empty and you need to secure the basket. A lead is not needed of course when the basket is full as the weight in the basket keeps it secure.And...... yes yes. Not even a problem if it rains. I have deep and useful plastic bags which always come in handy and of course you can insert another bag within if you want to.

I have two of these, normally cycle with just one and a normal pannier on the other side. Carries my waterproof rucksack on the way to work and enables me to pop into the shops for a basket full of shopping on the way home (putting the rucksack on my back)I secure mine using a bungee round the back to hold it against the pannier rack side stays.Allows you to carry the basket into the shop so you can avoid buying too much and having problems carrying it when back at the bike...Easily takes a full bag for life...

Really good quality, so happy with the purchase, I was worried that it may rattles on my bike. It turns out that the basket will slide onto your rear seat firmly. Bought 2 to balance the weight. When you need to store them. Just pile them together. So happy!

A very strong robust product- easy to fit on the bike and holds a lot of shopping. Then easy to lift off and take in the kitchen. More expensive than some but worth paying for.

Excellent quality and easy to fit. I was reluctant at first as were on the more expensive end but glad I went for them. Sturdy and well made and easy to take on and off. I just put them in the shopping trolley and pack into them. Would definitely recommend.

Fits on great, I use it in the shop so I know how much will fit. It rattles a little going over bumps unless there is a lot in it. Would recommend.
