Q: How do these compare to Gilson's pipettes?

In terms of accuracy, Microlit pipettes follow the same ISO 8655 standards. They are also relatively lighter. They will satisfy your pipetting requirements in the lab at a much lower price point.

Q: I set the 100-1000ul unit to 25 and it is more than 25 ul why?

Hi, Microlit Micropipette is a two stop micropipette which ensures high accuracy. However, this means that 2nd stop use during aspiration can lead to higher dispense volume than what is set. Can you confirm that during aspiration you are not depressing until the second stop? Please follow the steps here www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Pipette/ and focus on Step 5. If you are doing this correctly and still getting a higher volume that what is set, that could be a product issue and we will issue a replacement. Every Microlit Micropipette comes with a calibration certificate when you purchase it from the Microlit store at Amazon.

Q: What pipettes will fit?

There are 4 sizes of Microlit tips available on Amazon. For micropipettes up to a nominal volume of 20ul, use the 20ul Microlit tip. For 5-50ul and 20-200ul micropipettes, use the Microlit 200ul tips. For the 100-1000ul micropipettes, use the 1000ul tip and for the 1-10ml pipette use the Microlit 10ml tip.
