I bought this item the first time because I love the price. Then, it got misplaced or thrown out by an accident and I could not find the same item so I purchased two more cat litter mats and I kept missing this exact one. So glad that they are back in stock!!!!!! This is the best cat litter mat ever and it is durable. The only thing I could ask for is to have a few more color choices and hope they make the name easy to find it. Van Less LM 1 is a little difficult to remember and it is easier trying to search for cat litter mat. This is very durable, washable, and easy to shake off the cat litter for human and for cats. I have bought two recently and need to buy another one since we are trying out a automatic cat litter machine. This is it and it is so affordable and indestructible and retaines its shape and color as long as you have it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

This is the first time I've purchased a product like this, so I figured I'd try the lower priced mat first, just to find out if I liked litter mats. These mats are a great deal for the price! They feel substantial, solid mats. They may be a touch small, but still do a great job. So easy to clean, just shake it out for a quick clean or take it outside and hose it down. I noticed some reviewers thought the co!or was a strange color. They're blue, people, how many shades of blue do you want for this price??? They are a medium blue and neither of my cats has complained about the color. In fact, they told me it was very comfortable to not have litter granules stuck between their paw pads. A great buy and I would recommend this litter mat.

While I do wish it were a little bigger (the size measurements are accurate), it does work very well at catching AND HOLDING the litter. There is still a little bit of litter that tracks outside the mat, but not as much as my prior mat (which I also liked). I think the reason this works better is that the protruding tabs on the mat itself are raised a bot higher, so they catch the litter on the paws and then they trap it within the mat. While I'm guessing some cats may jump over the mat as stated by some other reviewers (I don't think it hurts their paws, they just may not find it as comfortable as a flat surface.....). my little buddy can't do that because of the litter box being in a small alcove of my apartment (in order for him to get in and out of the box, he has to walk on the mat since there's not really enough room to jump over it).

Perfect for tracking kitty litter! Fits perfectly, soft on paws, not sticky, very durable! Nice thickness and very easy to use, will be used for many years as it is very durable!

Catches a little of the kitty litter but not a lot. Worked okay when my kitten was a couple months old but as soon as she got older, it was too small to catch most of the litter she tracks even with a tall sided cover for the box. Maybe my cat is just messier than others but for me it catches about 20% of her litter. It does catch the litter but unless you have a small kitten, this mat won't do very much for tracking.

This is a review for the Van Ness Trackless Litter Mat I ordered two of these as add-on items. I almost bought another mat, which cost three times as much. Thank goodness I saw the listing for this one! Although it says colors are "assorted," I received a matching pair of blue ones...the perfect color! These are rubbery mats, with a raised design, to catch the litter from kitty's paws, when kitty steps out of the litter box. These work really well, and keep the litter from going everywhere. They are sized, as listed, and perfect for the front of the litter box...almost like a welcome mat! They can be shaken out easily, or rinsed off, if they get "messy." This is a really wonderful "add-on" item, and I'd highly recommend buying at that price. If you want something fancier, expect to pay more. But this mat will give you the most bang for your buck.

I've purchased this product before from pet stores and it was soft and flexible. Not the 2 I recently received from Amazon. They are hard and inflexible - one of them won't bend at all and the other is only slightly flexible. The problem is that the "spikes" are very hard and are not only very uncomfortable if I step on them in my tiny bathroom, but I can only imagine how it feels on my cats' paws. My original Van Nuys mat had a soft surface. To make matters worse, I am unable to return them through Amazon EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NOT USED THEM because they apparently fall into a category of products that cannot be returned, even though this information is not included on the product description or order form. I feel totally ripped-off by this purchase. I have tried several ways ,but it is not possible to contact Amazon about returning an unused defective product that it has deemed unreturnable without prior notice. Not only will I rethink future purchases from Amazon, but will not order this cat mat again unless I can find it in a store and feel how flexible the spikes are. Buy at your risk!

The construction and overall design of this mat is good. But it is way too small. My own fault for not checking the dimensions more clearly (I think I mistook centimetres for inches). This matt doesn't even cover the width of the litter box, way too small. It does trap litter well but doesn't cover enough ground. Van Ness, make this 4 to 6 x bigger and you will have a winner. For now, I have to put a towel underneath it and that defeats the purpose.

I love these guys, highly recommend! I've tried the fancier litter mats and they never work as well as advertised. I didn't have any mat for a long time and with new hardwood floors and even enclosing the litter pans inside a cabinet tracking was an issue. Since using these for a couple of days tracking has been greatly reduced. Not only that but I love the fact that these are pure white. Not cream. Not yellow. Not off white. Pure white. They look very pretty inside my litter cabinets. I haven't had to clean them yet. I assume if anything solid got stuck it would be annoying to clean but if it's just litter it shouldn't be a problem. Definitely money well spent!
